The BankMillennium mobile application is the first banking application for Huawei smartphones that allows users to use contactless payments. In this case, they are based on the Blik system. In the Huawei MobileServices system, on which the manufacturer's newer phones operate, there is no access to services such as Google Pay. Thanks to the new implementation, users of Huawei smartphones will be able to pay with a contactless phone for the first time.

- We were the first to introduce Blik contactless payments on the market and are gradually making them available to customers. Most of the users of Huawei smartphones with our application can already use this solution - says Halina Karpińska, director of the Electronic Banking Department of Bank Millennium.

The BankMillennium mobile application has been integrated with Huawei Mobile Services and is available to users of all Huawei smartphones, including the newest ones based on the brand's proprietary ecosystem: Mate 40, including Mate 40 Pro, P40 and Y series phones - Y6p and Y5p, P smart 2021, smartphones with Mate 30 series, as well as the MateXs smartphone.

Banks are working on contactless Blik

Contactless payments Blik is a tone solution that is gradually being made available to Blik users. So far, some customers of Bank Millennium (HMS iAndroid) and PKO Bank Polski (Android) can use the new service. These payments do not require logging into the bank's application - all you need to do is unlock the smartphone (equipped with NFC) and hold it against the terminal - without entering the code, without having to attach the card, or even without an internet connection.

The survey conducted by Bankier.pl shows that contactless payments with Blik will appear in subsequent banks in the fourth quarter of 2021. Alior Bank, ING Bank, mBank and Santander Bank Polska are preparing for implementation. For now, however, the banks do not provide more precise dates of the planned provision of the service.
