The Honor brand unveiled its first flagship series after separating from Huawei. Meet Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro!
The highlight of today's conference was the return of the GMS package - i.e. Google services - to Honor smartphones. It was not specified which - but it can be safely assumed that all presented under the separation of the brand from Huawei. The new models are distinguished by an original styling, resembling a solution that will also go to the flagship Huawei P50 series. So we have screens with narrow frames, selfie cameras in a hole and extremely original frames for rear cameras. The camera frame is dominated by two circles housing the main lenses and giving them a visual magnification. Additional elements, such as smaller matrices or LEDs, have been integrated between the circles. The whole thing is eye-catching, but it may not be to everyone's taste. As usual, we have three models, ranked by capabilities and equipment and ... prices.
Honor 50photo. HonorHonor 50
The base of the flagship series is the Honor 50 model, equipped with a 6.57-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a hole for a 32-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.2). On the back, we have a main 108-megapixel camera (f/1.9), complemented by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/2.2) and two 2-megapixel matrices for macro and background blurring (f/2.4). This model uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB flash memory. The power supply is provided by a battery with a capacity of 4300 mAh, charging with a power of 66 W. The dimensions of this model are 159.96 x 73.76 x 7.78 mm, and the weight is 175 g. The price - depending on the variant of the internal memory - is 2699 or 2999 yuan. After conversion, the prices are USD 425-470 or PLN 1570-1750.

Honor 50 Pro is the top model of the new series. In many ways, it resembles the previously described Honor 50, but it has a larger, 6.72-inch display with a larger hole for the selfie camera. The hole took the shape of binoculars, because one more 12-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera (f / 2.2) was added to the front. Interestingly, this model, although larger, has a slightly smaller battery than its cheaper brother. The battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh, but it charges much faster, with a power of 100 W that allows a full charge in 25 minutes. The dimensions and weight of the Honor 50 Pro are 163.46 x 74.66 x 8.05 mm and 187 g. This model is available in only one memory variant: 8+256 GB. The price is 3699 yuan, or $ 580.
Honor 50 Prophoto. HonorHonor 50 SE
The cheapest model of the series, Honor 50 SE, is equipped with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor. There is a triple camera with a main 100 Mpx matrix and an f/1.9 lens, which is supported by an 8-megapixel wide-angle module with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera has 16 megapixels and is hidden in a screen hole. The power supply is provided by a 4000 mAh battery with 66 W fast charging. The phone measures 164.3 x 75.63 x 8 mm and weighs 191 g. Prices, depending on the memory variant (8+128 or 8+256 GB) are: 2399 or 2699 yuan, i.e. USD 375+425 or PLN 1400-1580.
