Huawei presented its financial results for 2020. The Chinese manufacturer has reaffirmed its commitment to creating added value for both customers and the general public.

Huawei achieved global sales revenues of 891.4 billion yuan (540.7 billion zlotys) in 2020, 3.8% higher than a year earlier. Net profit, in turn, reached 64.6 billion yuan (39.2 billion PLN) and was 3.2% higher than in 2019.

In order to conduct an independent and objective audit of financial statements, Huawei - experiencing operational difficulties caused by US sanctions - again invited KPMG to cooperate. The document prepared by KPMG is a standard, unmodified report on the conducted research. Whatever the circumstances, Huawei intends to continue to pursue full transparency by disclosing operational data to governments, customers, suppliers, employees and partners.

In the operator services segment, Huawei in 2020 ensured stable operation of over 1,500 networks in over 170 countries during the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with operators, Huawei has helped ensure the highest quality calls. The company also collaborated with operators around the world to implement over 3,000 innovative 5G projects in over 20 industries, such as coal mining, steel production, ports and broadly understood production.

Huawei has also worked with partners to launch cloud-based online learning platforms for more than 50 million primary and secondary school students.

With the introduction of HarmonyOS and the Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) ecosystem, the company has significantly expanded its Seamless AI Life ecosystem, enabling it to be used in a variety of devices for smart office, health and sports, smart home, travel and entertainment.
