Vectra customers will receive access to the Viaplay platform

Vectra has entered into an agreement with NENT Group for the distribution of the Viaplay streaming platform in Poland. From August 3, it will offer Polish viewers a unique combination of Viaplay Originals content, international films and series, children's programs, as well as major live sports events.

From August 3, 2021, Vectra customers will be able to add a subscription to the Viaplay streaming service to their packages including access to TV, broadband Internet or mobile telephony. The Viaplay application will also be available on TV Smart 4K Box, the latest Android TV set-top boxes offered by Vectra. Vectra, which is the largest cable TV operator in Poland in terms of the number of customers, introduced TV Smart in the summer of 2020, enabling viewers to use the content offered throughout Poland and the European Union. The Viaplay streaming service, from the moment of its launch in Poland, will also enrich the offer of the TV Smart platform.

Vectra customers will get access to Viaplay

The agreement concluded with the largest cable TV operator in Poland shows the long-term commitment of the Viaplay streaming service and the desire to reach local audiences. In all markets where we operate, our key priority is to ensure the widest possible access to the Viaplay platform. The agreement with Vectra gives us many possibilities. We are glad that we will be able to welcome Vectra customers and offer them a unique offer in the streaming area. Soon we will also be able to announce our next partnerships in Poland.

- said Kim Poder, CCO NENT Group

Our mission is to meet the expectations of our customers and provide them with access to the best entertainment based on the latest technologies. We are extremely proud of the fact that we were one of the first to sign an agreement with Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) in Poland. Viaplay is another very attractive service for cinema and sports enthusiasts in our company's product portfolio. Thanks to the TV Smart service, our customers can also take Viaplay with them wherever there is Internet access in Poland and the EU.

- said Tomasz Żurański, President of the Management Board of Vectra S.A.

In Poland, the price of a monthly subscription to the Viaplay platform will be PLN 34. The offer will also include an attractive promotion, available at the launch of the platform. Access to the service will be offered both by direct subscription and through third party partners. Viaplay will also be available on a wide range of devices and platforms, such as Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Sony, Philips and TCL smart TVs, iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Chromecast and Apple TV devices, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation consoles 5 and Xbox One, as well as PCs and Macs.

Currently, 25% of the 13.8 million households in Poland have a content streaming subscription, with an average of 1.5 subscriptions per household. According to the assumptions, in the coming years both of these values will increase significantly, along with the development of the local market.
