And there was a Chinese LED light, i.e. the Mi Smart LED desk pro lamp test

Historia zaczęła się kilka tygodni temu, gdy moja lampka biurkowa rozpadłasię dosłownie w rękach. I stała się chińska LEDowa światłość, czyli test Mi Smart LED Desk Lamp Pro

At first I wanted an ordinary lamp from a well -known Swedish furniture store.None of them met my expectations.Fortunately, my home launched a promotion in his online store for the Mi Smart Led Desk Pro lamp product from PLN 249 to PLN 169.

And this is how the Xiaomi lamp came to me.Thanks to Czemupow my "kingdom" of intelligent Xiaomi devices.

Packaging and content

I have to admit that Xiaomi is better packing its products. The lamp came packed in a cardboard box and thick polystyrene covering the main product from both sides.

Inside you will find a lamp in 1 piece, instructions and a power supply.

The lamp looks very solid.I ordered my copy in white. The base, although plastic, is heavy and looks very solid. However, the arms are metal.

The Xiaomi product in question weighs 2 kg.The lamp is LED, its maximum power is 16 W.Brightness up to 700 lumens.

Dimensions:

Scope of movements:

On the basis of the button we control the entire lamp.Single pressing causes switching on/off, the double click launches the defined function (concentration mode, delay mode or color selection).Shouring with a potentiometer itself brightens or darkens the light, while pressing and turning the button causes a color color to change between 2500 K - 4800 K.We will do all this with one knob.

You can say: "Lamp like a lamp, nothing special".However, you have to remember that it is "intelligent".We can pair it with Xiaomi Home, Home Kit and operate by voice assistants such as Siri, Google and Alexa.

Connectivity takes place using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the second option is probably mainly used for the first connection for configuration.Further connections take place by WiFi.The lamp will not work as a BLE goal, as is the case with other lamps.

First launch

With the help of an iPhone, I connected a lamp with homekite, because after unpacking the package, there was a card with a code to the above -mentioned service. The evaporation was immediate.Through homekit I could add a lamp to Xiaomi Home and upgrade to the latest version. The information is strange that you need to update the lamp.

From the Xiaomi ecosystem I have a ceiling lamp, E Ink stationary watch with temperature and humidity measurement (a dedicated entry will appear on it).By adding another product from the same company, I can use 1 application to create a group and control all lighting with the assumption that both lamps are in the same room.

I will come back to Xiaomi Home, I was glad that the lamp supports homekit, because thanks to this we can control the device by using Siri.In addition to the apps of the voice assistant.Nothing special.I must admit that the use of the "good night" scene to turn off the lamp, made me a moody evening.I felt like Tony Stark, issuing commands to Jarvis.

Mihome: One to shine everyone

Homekit does not give so many configuration options as Mihome.

I will skip the obvious options, such as delaying exclusion, manual setting of brightness and color temperature, schedules, setting name, assignment to a given room and ending with updating the device.

Below I will discuss some of the most interesting options:

1. Wybór jednego z 4 predefiniowanych trybów oświetlenia oraz niestandardowy (czyli manualnie na ekranie dopasujemy jasność i barwę światła).

2. Tryb koncentracji uwagi – nazwałbym to metodą uproszczonego Pomodoro. As you don't know what this method is yet, I refer to the article of our editor Łukasz.

Technique of Pomodoro - one of the most popular methods of improving our focus

In this option, we choose the time of work, and how much rest.

This mode can also be assigned to our button as a defined action.

3. Domyślny stan – przy użyciu tej opcji, możemy zapisać nasze ustawienia jako domyślny stan po utracie zasilania. When we have a power outage, the device will remember our configuration. We can enable the option to remember our settings automatically or manually. It is worth noting, in the future it will save us nerves and our precious time.

4. Tryb dziecka – Zastanawiając się czy ta lampka będzie odpowiednia do nauki dla dziecka.Xiaomi has added a mode that limits the color temperature to 4,000 Kelwin to reduce the emission of blue light that can harm the child.

5.Lighting group - this is an option when you have more devices from Xiaomi. With this option, you can configure the control of several devices at once at one button. For example, having Xiaomi Mi Smart LED Ceiling Light and Mi Smart LED Desk Pro lamp, you can use one button to turn on or off both lamps at the same time. These are just a few options, it all depends on what you need such a lamp for.

Summary

Is the lamp worth the price? If you need to buy a desk lamp, it is worth considering this product. If you do not have pressure on "intelligent" devices, there are a million other lamps that will be similarly made, but much cheaper. However, if you came across promotions, take it blind. You will be happy.I am appealing to her..The base is heavy, the lamp gives a lot of light.Eyes should not get tired and in addition to choosing one of the modes, it should help us.For me, the disadvantage is too small angle of tilting the lamp back.If you are only looking for Xiaomi lamps with homekit support, the alternative is cheaper LED lamps lamp 1S lamps.

Finally, the question: do you want to read about the Xiaomi Mi Smart Led Ceiling Light ceiling lamp and how does it work after half a year of use?
