Screen recording in iOS 11

Among the many useful new features that arrived in iOS 11 that were not mentioned during the WWDC opening keynote, there are a few that users will surely enjoy. One of them is screen recording.

In the past, it was not possible to record the screen directly on an iPhone or iPad without jailbreaking the device. Later, Apple made it possible to record what is happening on the screen via the Mac and QuickTime. However, this required connecting them to the computer with a cable. In iOS 11, this task is finally simplified. Just activate the appropriate record button in the control center, then tap on it. During recording, you can additionally use a microphone to comment on what is happening on the screen.

The whole process is simple, although in some situations you will need to keep recording the screen on your Mac anyway. When recording directly to an iPhone or iPad, the status bar becomes larger and turns blue, which is not the case with computer recording. Recording in iOS 11 will certainly be useful for players (the top bar is not displayed in games), who will be able to record their struggles and publish them on the web. This feature will also be useful for solving problems with individual programs or the system itself, and for quickly creating short guides or guides on individual applications.
