Netflix is working on the Polish series "Queen" about Drag Queen.Starring Andrzej Seweryn and Maria Peszek

Polski Netflix zapowiedział, że trwają prace nad serialem, w którym legendarny polski aktor – Andrzej Seweryn – wcieli się w drag queen.

Netflix announced the series "Queen" (working title).Production photos began this week.Andrzej Seweryn will play a double role: New Year's Eve and Loretta.On the screen we will also see Maria Peszek and Julia Chętnicka.

What will the "Queen" series Netflix with Andrzej Seweryn be about?

"Queen" (working title) is, as Netflix announces, a story about "redemption, second chance and love overcoming all differences".Production will have a miniseries format.The story will consist of four episodes.

In the main roles of the series "Queen" (working title) we will see:

Netflix miniserial will tell about New Year's Eve - a retired tailor and Drag Queen, who left Poland fifty years ago to work and fulfill his passion in Paris.He promised not to go back to the country, but in the face of new circumstances, he returned to his hometown.To return, he is convinced by a letter from a granddaughter who asks him to save him for a sick mother in need of a kidney transplantation.The journey will take an unexpected turn, forcing New Year's Eve to confront the hero's past.

The story is directed by Łukasz Kośmicki.The production concept was created by Arni Asgeirsson.The script was written together by Arni Asgeirsson and Kacper Wysocki.The Opus TV studio is responsible for the production.

The premiere of the series "Queen" (working title) with Andrzej Seweryn and Maria Peszek is planned for 2022.The title will be available only on Netflix.

Netflix changes packages in Poland

Another Polish series produced by Netflix is of course great news.However, this is associated with another, slightly less pleasant information, which the website shared with the world a few days ago.

Netflix Polska, a bit of surprise, has recently changed the prices of subscriptions in our country.The standard plan remained unchanged, but the amounts of premium and basic plans have changed.The price change is positive on the one hand - the basic plan will now cost PLN 29 (earlier PLN 34), but the Premium plan has been up to PLN 60/month (previously it cost PLN 52).
