According to The Elec website, only the AMOLED matrices will receive only iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.LOW-TERPERSTALLLINLINE OXIDE (LPTO) screens will offer 120 Hz refreshing, and their only supplier in these models will be Samsung Display.Earlier, conflicting information appeared on this subject, and LG was also mentioned as the second supplier.The use of LPTO technology ensures greater energy saving, this solution is particularly beneficial in 120 Hz screens, which can work at the highest frequency without excessive battery load.
However, this is not the end-another branch of the Korean company, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, will produce rigid-elastic printed circuits (RFPCB) for new Apple phones, which are used to connect OLED panels with the phone motherboard.A characteristic feature of the RFPCB circuits is that they are rigid, but at the assembly stage they can be bent, which allows for greater freedom to design the phone, for example with smaller frames.They also provide faster conduction of electrical signals.RFPCB circuits are more expensive than the usually used FPCB.
According to estimates from the Korean market, Samsung will provide 110 million panels for iPhones this year.The positioned Apple models will receive LG Display (50 million) and Boe (9 million) panels below.
