Like everyone, that's everyone. You can add RAM in Samsung phones

It seems that we have a new trend in the industry. Some time ago we described to you how realme and Oppo will be the first smartphones with a sick amount of RAM. All thanks to the new technology that allows you to make the currently unused internal memory an addition to the operational memory. In this configuration, we already have smartphones that have 19 GB of RAM (12 + 7), and how much will be added in a moment is only a matter of the manufacturer's imagination. As for the trend, I had little hope that such artificial pumping of numbers would be limited only to Chinese smartphones. I was wrong.

Samsung enters the game. You can also add RAM to the A52s

According to GSMArena, Samsung in one of the latest updates has added the RAM Plus function to its new Galaxy A52s phone, allowing you to add to the existing 6 or 8 GB of RAM another 4 GB taken from internal memory. The fact that this was done via an update makes it clear that Samsung is working on a software-level feature not only for this particular model, but for all devices running Android with OneUI. So it may mean that soon you will be able to add RAM to each Samsung.

Like everyone, everyone. On phones Samsung phones will add RAM

And that's a big problem in my opinion. First of all, because in marketing messages, some people simply talk about the sum of possible RAM, even if a large part of it is "fake" RAM. And we all know how the race for numbers looks like in the case of smartphones - we shoot everything until we cross the border of absurdity, and then we turn it up a bit more. And I'm afraid if the biggest player in the market starts to participate, that's the moment when all the brakes are released and in a moment not only will everyone else be doing it too to keep up, but consumers will be exposed to a whole lot of marketing as bizarre as it is misleading. In my opinion, you won't have to wait long for a smartphone that will have more virtual RAM than real.

It's as if absurd amounts of RAM, like 20 or 30 GB (apart from how such RAM would work) are what users need most.
