Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 - a new durable smartphone for difficult conditions

Samsung presented a new, durable smartphone, the Galaxy XCover 5 model. The device is resistant to water and dust, as well as to a fall from a height of up to 1.5 meters.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 is packed with various functions to handle demanding tasks and activities. Increased shock absorption allows the device to withstand a fall from a height of up to 1.5 meters, while the IP68 certificate ensures resistance to water (the phone should withstand half an hour of immersion at a depth of about 1 m) and dust. And since the users of such phones are very often required to wear gloves due to safety and hygiene measures, the Glove Touch function increases the sensitivity to touch, allowing the device to be operated even with gloves.

The latest rugged smartphone from Samsung has a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. There are quite wide frames around the screen. In the one at the top, there is, among other things, a front camera with a resolution of 5 Mpix (f / 2.2). The camera on the back has a resolution of 16 Mpix (f / .8) and is also single.

The Galaxy XCover 5 is powered by the Exynos 850 chipset, supported by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of mass memory, expandable with microSD memory cards. The whole is powered by a removable 3000 mAh battery with 15 W fast charging and works under the control of Android 11 with the One UI 2 interface.
