iPhone 13 - models, price, technical specification, curiosities [update 2.12.2021]

In 2020, Apple suffered a significant delay. The new smartphones from the iPhone 12 family debuted with at least a month's delay. In addition, for a long period of time, Apple struggled with accessibility problems. Since the beginning of 2021, the situation is under control, and we already know everything about the iPhone 12.iPhone 13 - models, price, technical specification, interesting facts [UPDATE 2.12.2021]

From time to time, rumors and the first information about the iPhone, which will debut in 2021, hit the web.

In this material we collect all the information about the next generation of iPhone flagship models.

Considering buying an iPhone? Check what the iPhone 12s/13 will surprise us with.

iPhone 12s or iPhone 13? What name will the next generation of flagships from Apple receive?

We'll start with the name at the very beginning. Until 2016, Apple used the familiar scheme of launching its smartphones on the market. In even years, a brand new model with visual changes and a solid update of components appeared, and in odd years, an improved version with the letter s at the end appeared.

In short, this meant that a brand new model would come out once every two years.

Since 2016, Apple launches new models every year, but sometimes there are still updates to existing designs. We are talking about the iPhone X / Xs and Xr / 11.

From the information that goes to the network, we can assume that Apple will launch the iPhone 13. There are too many news for the Cupertino giant to add the letter s to the name. Are we right? We will find out only during the official premiere.

iPhone 13 - how many models can we count on?

At the moment, there is no exact data, but after analyzing the current iPhone sales situation, some conclusions can be drawn.

In the first half of 2021, Apple sells the following iPhone models:

As you can see, Apple is moving away from the trend of building small smartphones. In addition, we already know from financial data that the iPhone 12 mini is not very popular. When we add rumors about a larger iPhone SE, the fate of the iPhone 13 mini is very uncertain.

The iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will certainly appear on the market.

iPhone 13 - release date

It is said that in 2021 Apple will return to the classic release cycle. This means that new iPhone models will appear on the market in September 2021. The premiere will take place in the first or second week of this month, and smartphones will reach the first recipients before the end of September.

iPhone 13 - price

The prices of the iPhone 13 are strongly dependent on the number of models that will be available for sale. If the iPhone 13 mini appears on the market, the prices should be as follows:

If Apple discontinues the iPhone 13 mini, its place should be taken by the classic iPhone 13. This means that the price list should look like this:

Classically, we should no longer count on Apple deciding to lower prices. In return, we will get 128 GB of built-in storage in basic configurations. There will be several color versions to choose from (more for models 13 mini and 13). A version with 1 TB of built-in storage will also be available for sale.

iPhone 13 - processor

iPhone 13 will certainly offer the Apple A15 processor. It will be the successor to the 5nm Apple A14 processor known from the iPhone 12. The system will certainly offer a dozen or so percent higher performance with lower energy consumption. It is possible that the Apple A15 will be the first Apple processor produced in a 3 nm technological process. TSMC - a company producing chips for Apple is already building a production line adapted to the 3 nm technological process.

It is also said that the processor will receive 6 GB of RAM regardless of the selected iPhone model. It is possible that the top configurations will receive 8 GB of RAM.

A 5G network modem will be integrated with the processor, which, regardless of the phone version, will offer compatibility with mmWave and Sub 6GHz networks. Currently, European iPhone 12 models have a weaker model that only supports Sub 6 GHz networks.

Process Apple A15 will also offer support for a wireless network in the Wi-Fi 6E standard.

iPhone 13 - screen

iPhone 13, like its predecessors, will offer an OLED screen.

It is said that Apple will work on its technical parameters, but the biggest novelty is to be ProMotion technology. It will allow you to dynamically change the screen refresh rate in the range from a few to 120 Hz. Similar solutions have been used in Android smartphones for two years.

It is possible that ProMotion will only go to the more expensive iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models.

The iPhone 13 screen made in LTPO technology can offer the Always-on mode known from Android competition.

iPhone 13 is also to offer a new third-generation Face ID system, which will offer a smaller module that allows you to reduce the cutout in the screen. Unfortunately, we should not count on a complete resignation from the notch.

iPhone 13 - the return of Touch ID

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, there has been increasing talk about the return of Touch ID. Unfortunately, the models from the iPhone 12 family did not offer a fingerprint reader. This is to change with the launch of the iPhone 13, which will bring back Touch ID. The new sensor is to be placed in the OLED screen. It will serve as an additional security that will support Face ID. Facial recognition will continue to be the default biometric authentication method.

iPhone 13 - camera

This year we expect Apple to modify the ultra wide-angle camera. The new models will offer a lens consisting of six elements, which will improve the quality of photos taken and reduce distortion.

In addition, it is possible that all models will receive LiDAR, which is currently available on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

We also expect changes to the wide-angle lens. The Pro and Pro Max models should be able to record video in 8K resolution.

The revised Face ID system will offer an improved front camera, which may receive an improved night mode.

iPhone 13 - ports

iPhone 12 offered a magnetic MagSafe charging connector. Rumors have been circulating on the web for months suggesting that Apple will get rid of the Lightning charging socket. It is possible that the iPhone 13 will only offer a MagSafe connector, and synchronization with a computer and other devices will take place only using a wireless connection.

iPhone 12 - battery

iPhone has always offered small batteries, but thanks to great software optimization, battery life is satisfactory.

Upcoming models will offer a dual battery for faster charging. Current models will be charged using 18 W wired charging. The new battery design will allow for much faster charging.

iPhone 13 - software

iPhone 13 will debut with iOS 15 pre-installed. More information about this software will be revealed in June at the WWDC conference. iOS 15 will go as an update to older smartphone models from Apple.

Here's more iPhone 13 news. Keep in mind that the content is constantly being updated. During an update, the date in the title changes, and the word UPDATE appears in the article with the date of the update. Under this heading you will find more information about the iPhone 13. The material will be updated throughout 2021, until the launch of new iPhone models.

iPhone 13 without notch on the network. Unfortunately, the characteristic element will not disappear from the display

In the network we can find an extremely interesting video showing the iPhone without a cutout in the screen. The recording shows a slightly modified iPhone 12 Pro, the housing of which uses a screen without a notch.

Unfortunately, this is actually a gold iPhone 12 Pro reworked using augmented reality.

Dominik Hofacker (@domhofdesign) tweeted a 24-second video of the new iPhone with a screen without a notch at the top.

The notch-less iPhone.Another iteration. Notice the reflections which make it almost indistinguishable from the real thing.#iPhone #Apple #AugmentedReality pic.twitter.com/9p9SHxZdM2

— Dominik Hofacker (@domhofdesign) February 7, 2021

The post was described as "The notch-less iPhone". The author confirms that this is a fake recording by stating "note the reflections that make the (iPhone) almost indistinguishable from the real thing."

In the recording, we can see that the indentation in the screen has been removed from the front panel. Instead, we get a wider notification bar displaying the name of the network. The watch, as in older models with Touch ID, is located in the middle - almost centrally under the speaker for calls.

Unfortunately, the information currently available shows that the iPhone 13 will still have a characteristic notch in the screen. Due to the implementation of the third-generation Face ID, the notch will be slightly smaller, but than it will disappear from the front panel.

UPDATE 02/17/2021

iPhone 13 will offer Always-on-Display

After many years, Apple will decide to implement Always-on-Display in upcoming iPhone models. This is quite a change because since the first-generation iPhone was launched in 2007, Apple has not offered a notification LED or an AOD screen on its phones. The only way to check notifications was to glance at the screen or purchase an Apple Watch.

According to information provided by Max Weinbach of XDA-Developers, new iPhone models will offer Always-on-Display mode. The iOS system on the latest smartphone models will show the time, battery level and notifications on the screen off. Incoming notifications will light up for a period of time and the time and battery level will be displayed continuously.

Always-on-Display mode will require a non-extinguishing Retina screen for its operation, which is already known, among others, from the Apple Watch Series 5/6. The whole will work with a variable refresh rate. In AOD mode, the iPhone screen will refresh once per second.

The new mode will not come to older models as a software update.

Apple will not abandon the production of the mini model

Since the beginning of the year, the largest technology portals and analytical companies have reported that the iPhone 12 mini turned out to be a terrible dud. Apple met the requests of its customers, and they finally decided on larger iPhone models.

We already know that the iPhone 12 mini accounts for only 5% of sales of all models in the iPhone 12 family. In addition, Apple has reduced its production in favor of the most popular iPhone 12 Pro. There are also rumors on the web. which suggest that Apple will completely withdraw the iPhone 12 mini from the market.

It turns out, however, that despite the low sales results, Apple is designing the iPhone 13 mini.

This year's mini iPhone is likely to be produced in much fewer units. It will still be a classic iPhone with a reduced screen. This solution minimizes design and production costs.

Find out more about the iPhone 13 mini here.

Always-on-Display on iPhone 13 without constantly displaying notifications

According to the SlashGear report, the iPhone 13 will receive a non-fading Retina display. Unfortunately, it turns out that the Always-On-Display screen on the iPhone 13 will look different than on Android smartphones.

The OLED screen at rest will only display the time and battery charge. Apple forgot about the most important element of the whole system - displaying notifications.

Always-On-Display will offer this option, but it will be practically useless. The arrival of a new notification will be signaled for a short period of time on the AOD screen, and then it will be removed from it. The iPhone will not light up its screen. This means that we probably won't notice the new notification.

iPhone 13 - 120Hz Super Retina XDR ProMotion Display On Board

This year's iPhone models will get all-new displays.

After years of rumors and expectations, ProMotion technology will go to Apple smartphones. This means that the iPhone will offer an increased screen refresh rate.

The Patently Apple portal reported that the iPhone 13 should get a 120 Hz Super Retina XDR screen with ProMotion. The panel will be equipped with VRR - variable screen refresh rate. This technology will take care of energy consumption. When displaying static content, the screen will operate at 60 Hz.

Learn more about the second generation Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion here.

UPDATED February 1, 2021

iPhone 13 - smaller notch on board

We know not from today that the iPhone models for 2021 will offer new displays with an increased refresh rate. The presence of ProMotion technology is not the only novelty. In addition to the 120 Hz refresh rate, there will also be an Always-on mode, which is a real novelty in the case of Apple equipment.

The whole thing will be complemented by a new, smaller notch integrated with the third generation Face ID.

We know what the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max screen will look like from the latest supply chain technical documentation.

According to the information we have, Apple will continue to use the screen notch. We can expect the third-generation Face ID to reduce the size of the notch, but it certainly won't disappear completely.

The Touch ID fingerprint reader should appear instead. It will be integrated with the Super Retina XDR display. We will not find the Lightning port on the renders. The MagSafe magnetic connector, which we already know from the iPhone 12, will be used for charging.

You can find more information about the smaller notch in the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max here.

iPhone 13 - a new way to restore iOS

Apple will abandon the use of the Lightning connector in new iPhone models. This year's flagships will be delivered with a MagSafe charger in the set, and charging will take place only in a wireless way. iPhone 13 will not be able to connect to accessories and computers by wire. This means that Apple must design a new system for restoring iOS to factory settings in case of failure.

Due to the lack of ports in the models of the iPhone 13 family, Apple is designing a new recovery that will not require a physical connection to the computer. The whole thing will work similarly to Internet Recovery on Mac computers. The solution will allow you to install the new version of iOS using the phone's built-in Wi-Fi.

iPhone 13 - a larger battery instead of a charging connector

iPhone 13 is to be the first generation of Apple smartphones without a charging connector. Previously, we thought that Apple would abandon the proprietary Lightning standard in favor of the popular USB Type C. Now we know that the iPhone 13 will probably not receive a classic connector for charging and communication with a computer / accessories at all.

Ming Chi-Kuo announced that the upcoming iPhone models will offer larger batteries than their immediate predecessors.

iPhone 13 will offer a completely redesigned interior. Some elements will be connected to each other, which, combined with the lack of a charging connector, allowed for some free space. It will be used to implement more capacious batteries.

By the way, we learned that the new models will be slightly heavier than their predecessors. This means that the iPhone 13 should weigh similarly to the 2019 iPhone 11.

iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max with Samsung Display

Apple is serious about the display in upcoming iPhone models. The Cupertino giant has placed a large order for top-end OLED panels from Samsung.

According to the latest information, the iPhone 13 will receive an OLED screen with ProMotion. For the first time in history, the iPhone will get a display with an increased refresh rate.

The choice of Samsung is easy for several reasons. The most important of them is the fact that Samsung has the most experience in the production of OLED panels. The considerable processing capacity of the factories of the Korean giant is also significant.

According to a report by The Elec, Apple will use Samsung screens. These will be LTPO OLED panels. The displays will go to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Samsung is preparing a special production line for iPhone 13 screens. The Korean company will produce at least 70,000 screens per month.

Apple is also in talks with LG and BOE. These companies are already supplying displays for currently sold smartphones.

The panels from LG and BOE will go to the base models of the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13. These smartphones will receive a Super Retina XDR panel with a classic 60 Hz refresh rate.

All models should get Always-on-Display.

Read more about the new display here.

Smaller notch confirmed - photos of front panels leaked!

Since 2017, we've been waiting for the notch in the screen of new iPhone models to be reduced. According to the latest rumors, the new models of the iPhone 13 family will offer a smaller notch. All thanks to the third generation Face ID, which consists of fewer elements.

Photos of the front panels of smartphones from the iPhone 13 family have just been uploaded to the network, confirming previous rumors and showing what the cutout looks like in the upcoming models.

iRepair Greece provided MacRumors with a photo of the iPhone 13 mini (5.4-inch), iPhone 13/13 Pro (6.1-inch) and iPhone 13 Pro Max (6.7-inch) ).

Each model has a noticeably smaller screen cutout. The photograph also shows that the loudspeaker for calls has been placed in a frame.

An analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has already informed about a smaller cutout in the screen. Unfortunately, the latest rumors suggest that we will have to wait for Touch ID on the screen until at least 2023.

iPhone 13 - 120 Hz LTPO screen, improved camera and new color/memory versions

There are still a few more months until the premiere of the iPhone 13 family models, and we have more and more accurate information about upcoming Apple smartphones.

The popular youtuber EverythingApplePro boasted about the latest rumors. He provided some information about the iPhone 13 and the AirTags locator.

According to the latest news, the iPhone 13 will debut as planned at the very beginning of autumn. This means that a September presentation is very likely, and Apple will return to its traditional publishing cycle.

EverythingApplePro has confirmed previous leaks. The iPhone 13 will offer a smaller notch, third-generation Face ID and a Touch ID fingerprint reader in the display. The novelty will be the 120 Hz ProMotion screen in the Pro/Pro Max models and LiDAR in the base configurations of the iPhone 13/13 mini.

Max Weinbach also added that the top iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max models can be configured with 1TB of built-in storage. Currently, the most capacious models offer media with a capacity of 512 GB.

iPhone 13 will also introduce new color versions. We are talking about another gold option. Black matte will also return. Apple has probably dealt with the production problems known from the iPhone 7 and will offer a matte black iPhone. This color disappeared from the offer in 2018. Currently sold models are available in black color versions, but the backs are glossy.

We're not surprised that the iPhone 13 will introduce an improved camera. Apple is to work on portrait mode and the use of LiDAR.

Apple A15 - first batch in May

Apple together with TSMC are preparing to introduce the new Apple A15 processor into production. The upcoming system will be the heart of smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. From the information available so far, we know that it will still be a system produced in a 5 nm technological process.

Apple has been watching the production of the Apple A14 for the past year and slightly modified the design of the new chip. The processor from the outside will offer the same dimensions, but thanks to modifications it should be a few percent more efficient than the system used in the iPhone 12.

At the moment there is no detailed information on the performance gains of the Apple A15 processor over its predecessor.

Learn more about the Apple A15 processor here.

iPhone 13 Pro Max - the most expensive model again with a better camera

Fans of mobile photography this year will also be thinking about subsidizing the largest and most expensive iPhone 13 model. Well-known analyst Ming Chi-Kuo reported, that the iPhone 13 Pro Max will offer a different main camera than cheaper models.

The top representative of the iPhone 13 family will receive a wide-angle camera with f/1.5 aperture. It will allow you to improve the quality of photos and recordings taken in unfavorable lighting conditions. Apple is also working on improving how Portrait Mode works.

Other models - iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro - will receive a camera with f/1.6 aperture.

Each model of the iPhone 13 family will offer a main camera consisting of seven elements. The advanced lens design makes it easier to capture light and reduces artifacts.

Ming Chi-Kuo reports that Apple has already placed an order for new cameras with Sunny Optical. The first batch of lenses will leave the factory in the second quarter of 2021.

iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max with non-staining housing

Apple intends to deal with dirt accumulating on the iPhone housing once and for all. The more expensive iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models will receive a special display coating that will minimize the amount of dirt and fingerprints that accumulate.

Apple engineers are well aware that smartphones harbor germs and viruses.

Apple intends to deal with dirt and use a special coating that will prevent the accumulation of fingerprints and dirt on smartphones.

Max Weinbach from XDA-Developers gave the latest information about the iPhone 13 housing. The new models will offer a stainless steel frame covered with a non-staining coating and matte backs.

The 120Hz Super Retina XDR ProMotion display has also been confirmed.

Learn more about the non-staining casing of the more expensive iPhone models here.

iPhone 13 with two-factor verification

iPhone 13, in addition to Face ID, will also offer a Touch ID fingerprint reader integrated with the Super Retina XDR display.

It turns out that Apple wants to take even more care of the privacy of its users and will offer them the opportunity to use two-factor verification when unlocking the device.

The iOS 15 operating system, which will appear in June 2021, will receive a new system that allows two-factor verification to unlock the phone.

iPhone 13 users, out of concern for their safety, will be able to run two-factor verification (2FA), which will require not only a face scan, but also fingerprints to unlock.

Face ID will remain the basic biometric security system. The fingerprint reader will be the second, additional way to unlock the device. It will be useful when we have a mask on and we do not have an Apple Watch.

iPhone 13 is the last family of smartphones with a mini model

Last year, Apple launched a small iPhone. The mini model received a screen with a diagonal of 5.4 inches. Apart from the smaller dimensions and the battery, the technical parameters are identical to those of the larger iPhone 12.

It quickly turned out that after a momentary enthusiasm, the iPhone 12 mini is not selling as well as planned. Finally, Apple decided to limit production.

Ming Chi-Kuo today provided information about Apple smartphones that will hit the market in 2022. By the way, we learned that the iPhone 13 will debut in the mini version. This will be the last Apple smartphone with a smaller screen. In 2022, iPhones with a 6.1 or 6.7-inch display will appear on the market.

iPhone 13 will debut in four versions - iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro.

The iPhone 13 mini is said to be the last iPhone model with a screen size under 6 inches. Next year, Apple intends to present a brand new iPhone SE. It will be a large smartphone with a hull borrowed from the iPhone 11. This means that for some time the iPhone 13 mini will be the smallest smartphone in the portfolio.

UPDATED April 19, 2021

iPhone 13 Pro Max with even larger lens housing

Flagship iPhone models from 2019 have a square lens housing. This applies to the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 lines. It turns out that the iPhone 13 will offer an even larger lens housing.

Apple does not rest on its laurels and intends to continue to enlarge the camera housing in its largest smartphones.

iPhone 13 Pro Max will offer the largest lens housing in the history of Apple smartphones.

The EverythingApplePro YouTube channel features 3D mock-ups of upcoming models based on recent leaks about the next generation iPhone.

From the video, we learn that the new model will be 0.26 mm thicker than the currently sold iPhone 12 Pro Max.

In exchange for a larger lens housing, we will get a smaller cutout in the screen. All thanks to the third generation Face ID.

Smartphones from the iPhone 13 family, apart from increased thickness, will offer identical housing dimensions. Apple will move the location of the volume control buttons. They will be closer to the top edge.

iPhone 13 mini with smaller notch and 5.4-inch screen

iPhone 13 mini will be the last small smartphone from Apple.

The compact model catches the eye with two changes. On the back we find a square camera housing with two lenses. In this year's model, they will be placed diagonally, not under each other.

Apple has modified the appearance of the lens housing and moved the volume buttons a bit. This means that covers from the iPhone 12 mini model will not fit.

iPhone 13 mini will be the last models with reduced dimensions. In 2022, Apple will not decide to present the mini model.

iPhone 13 - European models finally with a full-fledged 5G network modem

It's no secret that European iPhone 12 models have a slower 5G network modem that does not support mmWave technology used, among others, in the United States .

After a few months, Apple realized that cutting costs by a few dollars did not make sense. The iPhone 13 will globally receive a 5G network modem with support for mmWave and Sub 6 GHz technologies. This means that smartphones will get an additional antenna that will be visible on one of the sides of the frame.

Information about the presence of a new 5G network modem in the mmWave and Sub-6Ghz standards was provided by the well-known analyst Ming Chi-Kuo.

Apple will use the Qualcomm X60 modem, which will achieve higher data transfers compared to the X55 modem from the iPhone 12.

iPhone 13 may be the last smartphone from Apple equipped with a third-party modem. The Cupertino giant has bought the part of Intel dealing with mobile network modems and is developing its own products.

iPhone 13 Pro Max - smaller notch = bigger camera

Videos with a full-size dummy of the iPhone 13 Pro Max have been released online. The Unbox Therapy YouTube channel was tempted to compare the upcoming flagship with the current model. His results are quite interesting.

iPhone 13 Pro Max will receive an improved camera. The aperture of the ultra-wide-angle lens is to be f / 1.8. In the currently sold iPhone 12 Pro Max we have an ultrawide camera with f/2.4 aperture.

Changing cameras has made the lens housing even larger. The photos show a clear difference between the iPhone 12 Pro Max camera island and the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

The dummy iPhone 13 Pro Max indicates that the upcoming model will be of similar dimensions as its predecessor. However, this does not mean that we will use the same accessories.

The new model will receive a much smaller cutout in the screen. The speaker moves from the notch to the top bezel and the TrueDepth camera elements are closer together.

Other elements such as buttons, SIM card port or charging socket remained in their places. The Apple logo in the middle of the back has not changed either.

iPhone 13 - larger external dimensions and thickness

It has been known for a long time that smartphones from the iPhone 13 family will offer an even larger island with cameras. This element has been growing steadily since the presentation of the iPhone 11 in the fall of 2019. The latest information confirms that not only the camera will grow in the iPhone 13 smartphones. The devices are supposed to be thicker than their predecessors.

Why, contrary to logic, will the new models be more massive than the currently sold iPhone 12 smartphones from 2020? All because of completely new lenses that need more space in the housing.

MacRumors has provided technical details for upcoming models. They show that the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro will receive a housing with a thickness of 7.57 mm. This means that they will be 0.17 mm thicker than their predecessors.

Together with the lenses, the external dimensions of the lens housing will also increase. It will be a few mm larger.

MacRumors reported that the information came from a reliable source.

iPhone 13 - what new features are owners of older models counting on?

Users of currently selling iPhone models were asked what they expected from the upcoming iPhone 13. What feature are they most looking forward to?

The survey was conducted by SellCell.com. It shows that in the era of the COIVD-19 pandemic, owners of Apple smartphones with the Face ID face scanning system are counting on the return of the traditional solution, which is the Touch ID fingerprint reader.

We would like to remind you that from the most expensive iPhone models, Touch ID was removed in 2017. Since 2018, Apple presents new models with Face ID. The exception here is the cheapest iPhone SE 2020.

Currently selling iPhone models have a face scanning system that doesn't work while wearing a mask. This solution now hinders the use of the phone and reminds iPhone users of the times when these smartphones did not have biometric security. Each attempt to unlock the device while wearing a mask ends with a request for a PIN code.

In a survey of 3,040 iPhone users, 21% expect Touch ID to return. In second place is a screen with an increased refresh rate, and the stake is closed by a smaller cutout in the screen.

Interestingly, only 1% of respondents would like to see a foldable iPhone with a flexible screen this year.

Will Touch ID return to iPhone 13? We'll find out in the fall. This is likely, but remember that the iPhone 12 was also supposed to debut on the market with Touch ID on the screen.

iPhone 13 - mass production of the Apple A15 processor has started

The upcoming smartphones from Apple will receive the Apple A15 chip. Taiwanese chip maker - TSMC - which is also the main supplier of chips for Apple's smartphones, has just started production of the latest Apple A15 chip.

Apple prefers to be safe this year and orders components well in advance. All this to prevent a possible postponement of the premiere of new smartphones. We remind you that last year we waited more than a month for the iPhone 12.

The latest chip will be created in the same 5 nm technological process. This means that TSMC does not have to prepare too much for its production.

The new processor will provide greater performance and lower power consumption. Currently, we do not know its technical specifications.

Apple largest buyer of AMOLED screens for smartphones

Apple will soon overtake Samsung and become the largest buyer of AMOELD screens for smartphones.

According to the latest reports from the DigiTimes portal, Apple is intensively preparing for the premiere of new smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. The company has placed a large order for AMOLED screens. Thanks to the recent contract, the company will become the largest recipient of AMOLED matrices for smartphones.

According to the research of the analytical company Omedia, Apple will buy 169 million AMOLED screens throughout 2021. Last year, 114.5 million units of AMOLED screens were ordered.

The greater demand for AMOLED screens results from the presentation of the new iPhone 13 smartphones. In addition, Apple will continue to sell the iPhone 12. These smartphones will still remain on offer. At the same time, Apple will remove the iPhone XR from it, which uses an IPS LCD display.

The largest supplier of AMOLED screens for Apple will be Samsung. Koreans will produce over 110 million copies. In second place is LG with 50 million displays and BOE with 9 million units.

iPhone 13 - sensor-shift image stabilization on all models

All models in the iPhone 13 family will receive optical image stabilization with shift, which is currently only available on the iPhone 12 model ProMax.

How do we know this? To meet the need for new image stabilization systems, manufacturers are increasing production by 30-40%.

Sensor-shift - optical stabilization with the ability to shift the entire sensor improves image stabilization and provides better quality photos while minimizing the risk of accidental movement and blurring of the photo. This solution has been known for years from SLR cameras.

iPhone 13 - faster 5G may increase the retail price

We have known for a long time that Apple will withdraw from the idea of producing the iPhone 13 in two versions. Currently, US iPhone 12 models have a 5G modem compatible with mmWave and Sub-6GHz networks. Copies from Europe and the rest of the world only support 5G in Sub-6GHz technology.

The latest rumors confirm that the iPhone 13 in any version, regardless of the market, will receive a 5G network modem with support for Sub-6GHz and mmWave. Unfortunately, the use of a more efficient 5G network modem may negatively affect the final price of the devices. This means that the iPhone 13 may be more expensive than the iPhone 12.

iPhone 13 - each model with a larger battery on board

This year's iPhone models will receive larger batteries, but we should not count on better battery life.

Thanks to the latest leak from China, we have just learned the battery capacities in individual models of the iPhone 13 family. Smartphones will still offer batteries smaller than the Android competition, but the cells will be several percent more capacious than their counterparts used in the models of the iPhone 12 family.

iPhone 13 mini will receive a cell with a capacity of 2406 mAh, iPhone 13/13 Pro with a capacity of 3095 mAh, iPhone 13 Pro Max with a capacity of 4352 mAh.

Last year's models have batteries with a capacity of 2227 mAh (iPhone 12 mini), 2815 mAh (iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro) and 3687 mAh (iPhone 12 Pro Max).

This means that the largest iPhone 13 Pro Max model will receive a battery with a capacity of up to 18%. In the case of smaller models, we are talking about increases of 10% and 8%, respectively.

Apple has used larger batteries to maintain the same working times with the Always-On function enabled, which is to be one of the biggest novelties of the iPhone 13 family. This means that we should not count on a longer working time away from the charger.

UPDATE 09/06/2021

iPhone 13 - new orange color version

Apple once again intends to refresh the range of colors of the latest generation of iPhone. What color can we expect this year?

The Cupertino giant is known for producing cheaper versions of the iPhone in many color variants. This is how we buy the iPhone XR in white, black, blue, coral, yellow and (PRODUCT)RED. The slightly newer iPhone 11 is available with a white, black, green, yellow, purple or red housing.

The current generation - iPhone 12 - is sold in white, black, blue, green, (PRODUCT)RED and purple (joined the range in spring 2020).

According to the latest information provided by Ian Zelbo, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini may be sold in a new - orange color version.

Renderings showing the orange iPhone 13 have already hit the web. I must admit that the color looks very original and interesting.

It is possible that the orange housing will also go to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models. If it does, it will definitely be a slightly darker shade.

UPDATE 06/15/2021

iPhone 13 - new design of the cutout in the screen revealed

Thanks to the European Economic Commission, we learned more about the upcoming smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. This year's models have just been added to the database to receive appropriate certifications before entering the sale.

One of the certification documents leaked online, and we can look at it and deduce what news the iPhone 13 will offer.

The upcoming smartphones will have the following model numbers: A2628, A2630, A2634, A2635, A2640, A2643 and A2645.

Smartphones were certified with the iOS 14 operating system, but we know that they will be sold with the pre-installed iOS 15 operating system, which is currently in the testing phase.

At the moment, it is not possible to clearly assign model numbers to specific smartphones.

Documents of the European Economic Commission indicate that the iPhone 13 will offer a smaller cutout in the screen. Apple will decide to reduce the size of the notch for the first time since 2017. This is important news. It is possible that the iPhone 13 will display more information in the notification bar.

UPDATED June 18, 2021

iPhone 13 - full-size mockup on the video

Another video about the upcoming iPhone 13 has been made available on YouTube. It wouldn't be surprising if it weren't for the fact that the recording shows a full-size mock-up of the upcoming smartphone from Apple.

iPhone 13 replica shows new lens housing and external dimensions. At first glance, the iPhone looks similar to its predecessor - the model from the 12 series.

The clone of the iPhone 13 certainly does not reflect the final design. We can see that the SIM card tray has been placed near the lens housing. It is unlikely that Apple will move this element from the bottom of the housing.

The video also shows a new, smaller cutout in the screen with a selfie camera placed in the middle. Interestingly, the entire clone works under the control of Android with an iOS-like overlay.

It is worth noting that the device has a headphone jack on the top edge. The last model with this element was the iPhone SE from early 2016. Apple will certainly not return to the use of the headphone jack in the next generation of iPhone.

iPhone 13 - color versions from 2013 are back

iPhone 12 brought the classic housing with flat frames, which we know from the iPhone 4/4s/5/5s models. Now it's time for another "novelty", which we saw a few years ago. The latest rumors suggest that the iPhone 13 will be available in a bold new color version.

The base models of the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13, which will be sold in more bold colors, will receive an additional variant. On the Internet there is talk of a pink iPhone 13 model.

Apple already had a pink smartphone in its portfolio. Of course, we are talking about the cheap iPhone 5c model, which debuted on the market together with the 5s model. It was the first cheaper iPhone. The smartphone had backs made of polycarbonate and was sold in many color variants.

It is possible that the iPhone 5c pink tint will make its way to this year's iPhone 13 family models. This variant may replace the purple color that was added to the iPhone 12 lineup in spring 2021.

UPDATE 06/22/2021

Apple ends production of iPhone 12 mini - iPhone 13 mini launch is getting closer

Information has appeared on the network that suggests that iPhone 12 mini reached EOL (End-Of-Life) status in the second quarter of 2021 year. This means that Apple has already stopped placing orders for the production of this device, and the entire process has been terminated. The company has also allocated an appropriate number of devices for equipment that will be sent to consumers who have returned defective units for warranty.

For the upcoming release of the iPhone 13, the iPhone 12 mini will be sold from stock. The company will no longer produce any more copies. We're not surprised that the iPhone 12 mini was the first to be discontinued. A compact smartphone with a 5.4-inch screen is selling much worse than the manufacturer expected. The device was produced for less than a year.

TSMC favors Apple. Electronics manufacturers must wait

TSMC is one of Apple's most important subcontractors. The Taiwanese produce, among others, processors that go to iPhone smartphones, iPad tablets and Mac computers. The latest leaks suggest that TSMC is rejecting orders from electronics, computer and server manufacturers. All this to focus on orders from Apple and car manufacturers.

The Taiwanese company reported that the shortage of chips could last up to several years. The company will now focus on its largest partners. In particular, we are talking about Apple, which is preparing for the launch of the iPhone 13.

According to the DigiTimes Asia report, which refers to unidentified sources close to TSMC factories, in the third quarter of 2021 the Taiwanese will focus only on the production of components for Apple and passenger car manufacturers. The production of components for consumer electronics and computers from other manufacturers will take a back seat.

iPhone 13 - production and release date safe

Thanks to the promise from TSMC, the production of the iPhone 13 will not be delayed. This means that we can count on the premiere as planned - in September 2021.

In addition, Apple reportedly dealt with a deal with Samsung to guarantee the production of the right amount of OLED panels for the next generation of the iPhone.

These news suggest that despite the global chip shortage, anyone interested in purchasing the iPhone 13 will be able to purchase it without major problems.

UPDATE 06/23/2021

iPhone 13 - we know the release date!

An analyst Dan Ives provided information on the release date of the iPhone 13. Importantly, specific dates were set, which were set thanks to the supply chain of components necessary for the production of new smartphones from Apple .

What is important, the leaks confirm our earlier assumptions - Apple has adequately secured itself against a shortage of chips. This means that the debut will take place as planned - in September 2021.

When exactly will the iPhone 13 debut?

Smartphones will be presented at a special press conference on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Pre-sales will start on Friday, September 17, 2021, and the first units will be delivered to customers a week later, on Friday, September 24, 2021.

It's possible that the dates will move a few days back and forth, but it's unlikely. Apple often shows devices on Tuesday and puts them up for pre-order and sale on Friday.

Foxconn offers additional launches for employees assembling iPhone 13

Foxconn is another major Apple subcontractor. It is in his factories that smartphones with the logo of a bitten apple on the housing are produced from the obtained parts. Foxconn is also another company that cares about good relations with the American giant.

According to the South China Morning Post, Foxconn is offering employees high bonuses when signing contracts for the coming months. New conditions are given to people who express their willingness to help in the production of upcoming iPhone models.

The report indicates that Foxconn is offering a bonus of 8,000 yuan (PLN 4,640) for former employees who would like to work again at the factory in Zhengzhou, China. All to help production of the iPhone 13 at its peak before its launch.

South China Morning Post reports that employees will receive bonuses for four months of work - until the end of the peak season.

Foxconn has been using a pre-launch bonus system for the iPhone since 2010 (the date the factory was established in Zhengzhou).

iPhone 13 Pro - another realistic concept on the web

Less than three months are left until the launch of the iPhone 13, and we still don't know exactly what the case will look like. We expect a few changes, but there are no specifics that we will probably know only a moment before the premiere.

Based on all the information so far, ConceptCreator in cooperation with LetsGoDigital prepared the latest renders of the iPhone 13, which were made available as a video on YouTube.

The recording shows that we should not count on a revolution. iPhone 13 will resemble a modified iPhone 12 and should be called iPhone 12s.

iPhone 13 will offer an even larger lens housing. It is possible that this change only applies to Pro models. There should also be a smaller notch in the screen. All thanks to the more compact next-generation Face ID system.

Unfortunately, Touch ID is not visible in the renders. It is possible that the sensor will appear on the screen, but this is increasingly unlikely.

Smaller notch may redesign the status bar. The larger surface will allow you to display additional information that is located at the top of the screen on the SE 2020 model and older iPhones with Touch ID.

The whole project should be complemented by new color versions.

iPhone 13 - no 1 TB version and no price increases

More information about the iPhone 13 has been released to the network. This time we are talking about capacity versions and prices. The information is not exactly what we would expect.

According to rumors, there will be no iPhone with 1TB of storage on the market, but this is not the most important information. Much worse is the fact that the base iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 models will continue to be sold with 64 GB of built-in storage. We will have to pay extra for the 128 GB variant, which has long been the standard in Android flagships.

Below are the individual configurations of the base models:

and models from the iPhone 13 Pro family:

As you can see in the tables above, the capacities will be the same as the 2020 models. The price should also be the same.

This means that the prices of individual models should be as follows:

Users are afraid of superstitions about the iPhone 13 name

Apple is not a company that is afraid of superstitions, but consumers who use equipment with the logo of a bitten apple on the casing have a different opinion. Currently, models from the iPhone 12 family are sold on the market, and we are looking forward to the iPhone 13. Everything indicates that Apple does not intend to skip the unlucky number according to some users. Confirmation of these assumptions may be the debut of the iOS 13 (2019) and macOS 10.13 (2017) operating systems.

According to the latest study conducted in the United States by the analytical company SellCell, Internet users are afraid of the iPhone 13.

As many as 18% of the group of 3,000 respondents confirmed that they are even afraid of the iPhone 13. It turned out that only 26% of the respondents have no objections to the name iPhone 13. The overwhelming majority of consumers would prefer Apple to change the nomenclature. Among the most frequently mentioned proposals were iPhone (2021) - 38%, iPhone 21 - 16%, iPhone 12s - 13% and iPhone 14 - 7%.

What's with the unlucky number 13? Superstitions stem from the Babylonian numbering system, which is based on the number 12. The number 13 in this system is the first two-digit number that requires the second hand to be counted. You can count to 12 with the thumb of one hand and the phalanges of four fingers.

The SellCell study also showed that consumers are aware of the upcoming iPhone 13 launch. It turns out that most of them are no longer interested in buying models from the iPhone 12 family. As many as 64% of respondents prefer to wait until September and buy a new model .

We also learned interesting conclusions about iOS 15 software. The latest system is not revolutionary, which is confirmed by research. The iPhone 13 operating system was liked by 28% of respondents who are very impressed. More than half - 52.6% are dissatisfied or slightly satisfied.

iPhone 13 - we know the release date and the start of sales

Less than three months before the iPhone 13 we got to know the specific release date. When will the iPhone 13 debut?

Everything indicates that Apple has reliably hedged itself against a shortage of chips, and the premiere is safe and will take place in the third week of September 2021.

The Cupertino giant is expected to unveil the iPhone 13 at a special press conference on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Pre-sales will start a little later - on Friday, September 17, 2021. The first devices will go to customers on Friday, September 24, 2021.

You can find out more about the release date of the iPhone 13 here.

All iPhone 13 models pose in subsequent photos

Further photos of smartphones from the iPhone 13 family have just been uploaded to the network. Importantly, in one photo we can see each model - from the smallest iPhone 13 mini to the largest iPhone 13 Pro Max.

It is worth emphasizing that we are talking about dummies that are not functional smartphones. Copies of this type are created so that accessories manufacturers can prepare their products before the premiere. This means one thing - mock-ups must have dimensions and appearance consistent with the production models.

The picture shows the back panel. The first thing that catches the eye is the different location of the cameras in the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13. The two lenses are now placed diagonally. The flash landed slightly higher and the microphone lower. iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have a noticeably larger island with three lenses.

We can also notice that the basic models will still be offered with glossy and more expensive ones with matte backs. The photo shows that the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro will be available in white / silver, but the shade will be slightly different on more expensive models.

Sonny Dickson, who posted the photo online, believes that the largest iPhone 13 Pro Max will be slightly larger than the currently sold iPhone 12 Pro Max. In addition, all models are to be slightly thicker (by fractions of a millimeter) and will offer more protruding lens housings. These changes result from the use of larger batteries and modified cameras.

According to previous information, the base iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 models will receive two cameras. All smartphones will get Sensor Shift - lens shift stabilization. Currently, this feature can only be found on the iPhone 12 Pro Max models.

LiDAR will continue to be available in the Pro and Pro Max models.

iPhone 13 mini - the last flagship iPhone with a small screen

Apple has not yet presented smartphones from the iPhone 13 family, and analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has already provided the first information about the 2022 models. They show that Apple will abandon the presentation of a smaller iPhone next year.

At this point, it should be recalled that Apple has had smaller smartphones in its portfolio for a long time. We are talking about two generations of iPhone SE and iPhone 12 mini. Unfortunately, the minimized version of the flagship sells below expectations, and its production has already been completed. The financial results clearly show that consumers who are looking for a small device are choosing the much cheaper iPhone SE.

iPhone 13 mini could be the last flagship iPhone model with a screen size less than 5.5 inches. In the future market, models with displays with a diagonal of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches will debut on the market. We will probably see the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The small iPhone may return as the next generation iPhone SE, but this information is unconfirmed. Recent rumors assumed that the iPhone SE 2021/2022 will be a modified iPhone 11 with a 6.1-inch screen.

Apple sends lawyers to people revealing information about upcoming products

Apple hired a law firm to reprimand several technology journalists who provide information about Apple products before their official launch.

According to posts from the social networking site Weibo, Apple recently commissioned a law firm to send warning letters to people who post information about the iPhone 13 online.

According to Apple, these messages mislead customers and further negatively affect the sales of currently sold products.

Kang - one of the leaksters who received the warnings said that from now on he will be removing some older posts from his social accounts. Additionally, he believes that Apple should not interfere with his Weibo account. He also warned others against posting information about Apple products online. According to Apple, the publication of such information is a violation and misuse of commercial information.

iPhone 13 will benefit from Huawei's problems

Renowned analyst Ming Chi Kuo shared his latest insights. They show that the company expects increased shipments of the iPhone 13 in September 2021. In addition to new features, the main reason for the strong increase in sales of smartphones from the iPhone 13 family is the lack of access to Google services on Huawei devices.

Kuo believes that Apple will beat its financial results not only in 2021. He announces that the company will also prosper in 2022. Apple is expected to sell 230-240 million iPhones in 2021 and 250-260 million units in 2022, respectively.

In 2020, the company sold 195 million copies. The number has dropped due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Huawei's shares have been falling since being blacklisted by the U.S. Department of Commerce. This decision resulted in the loss of access to Google services.

In Q1 2020, Huawei had a 17% market share. A year later - in the first quarter of 2021, the shares were only 4%.

Kuo predicts that Apple will sell 88 million iPhone units in the second half of 2021. In a similar period of time in 2020, the company sold 76 million units.

By the way, we also learned that Apple will launch the iPhone SE next year.

UPDATED June 28, 2021

We just received more information about the iPhone 13. Ming Chi-Kuo said that the more expensive Pro and Pro Max models will receive an upgraded ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus. This is a big novelty - until now, every iPhone with an ultra-wide-angle lens used fixed-focal optics.

The information was provided in the latest note to investors. Compared to the iPhone 12 camera, we can expect sharper and clearer photos regardless of the distance. In addition, thanks to autofocus, it will be possible to eliminate photos in which only part of the image is sharp.

This year, the new ultra-wide-angle camera will only be available on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Next year, autofocus in the ultra-wide camera will be available on every model in the iPhone 14 family.

More dummy iPhone 13 on the web - what do they reveal?

Further dummy showing this year's iPhone models have hit the web. This time we are talking about the white equivalents of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro.

- DuanRui (@duanrui1205) June 29, 2021

Dummies allow you to get acquainted with the most important visual changes a few months before the actual launch of the device. Apple is preparing them so that accessory manufacturers have time to create products for the iPhone 13.

The latest photos show that smartphones from the iPhone 13 family will actually receive a smaller indentation in the screen. Apple has also redesigned the lens housing. In the cheaper iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini models, the lenses will be arranged diagonally.

UPDATED July 5, 2021

iPhone 13 may offer reverse charging

The latest information suggests that Apple will finally catch up with the Android competition and offer wireless reverse charging in models from the iPhone 13 family.

Last year, iPhone smartphones received the MagSafe magnetic charging system and attaching accessories. This year, this solution may be extended with the function of wireless reverse charging. It will allow wireless charging of other smartphones or accessories such as headphones.

Max Weinbach from XDA-Developers reported that the new models will receive larger coils for wireless charging.

The use of larger coils can increase the charging speed and reduce the temperature generated during the entire process. Currently, models in the iPhone 12 family support up to 15W MagSafe charging and 18W wired charging.

We find rumors on the web that suggest that the iPhone 13 family models will finally receive a faster wired charging system. Apple has been using the same solution for four years. During this time, the competition has developed many times faster battery charging systems in smartphones.

Documents from the FCC - US Federal Communications Commission indicate that the maximum reverse charging power will be 5 W.

Originally, the iPhone was supposed to receive reverse charging in 2019, but Apple for unknown reasons did not offer this option. Owners of smartphones from the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 family will not benefit from reverse charging.

Other rumors say that chargeback won't be introduced until 2022. We also know that Apple is working on an iPad Pro with a glass back, which will also allow wireless charging of other devices.

iPhone 13 - we know the official names!

The Economic Daily News portal has just released information about the official trade names of the iPhone 13. Has Apple prepared a surprise for us?

It turns out that the company approached the matter very predictably and will use a scheme known for years. The iPhone 13 family will include the following models:

As you can see above, the only difference in the name will be the change of the number from 12 to 13.

We got the information from the supply chain. The report says Apple will maintain the current naming convention. Information about the launch of all four models at the same time has also been confirmed. A year ago, due to production problems, Apple delayed the premiere of all models, and in addition the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max debuted in stores after the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.

The information we have obtained confirms that Apple is not afraid of superstition and will not omit the number 13 despite users' requests.

iPhone 13 - all colors

Are you determined to buy the upcoming iPhone 13? Do you already know which color version to choose? The latest information about the color variants of smartphones from the iPhone 13 family has just hit the network.

First, we'll start with what's new. We are talking about the Matte Black color, which was already used in 2016. We could buy an iPhone 7 in the same color variant.

The Matte Black color will go to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models.

iPhone 13 will also debut in the Rose Gold version. Again, this is a color variant that we know from older models.

Apple will continue to sell purple iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 models.

There will be orange, (PRODUCT)RED, white, yellow, blue and green. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will be sold in such variants.

The more expensive iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models will also be available in silver and graphite.

The company is likely to phase out the Pacific Blue color.

Apple re-contracts with former subcontractors

The latest DigiTimes Asia report provided by MacRumors reports that Apple is re-signing contracts with a subcontractor that used to manufacture Apple hardware. The giant from Cupertino refreshes the contract with Pegatron - the second largest Taiwanese electronics manufacturer.

Pegatron is to produce the smallest iPhone 13 mini model. Apple has suspended contracts with Pegatron in the past for falsifying documents and hiding the fact that students work in factories. These facts violated Apple's Supplier Code of Conduct.

Students who worked in factories took extra overtime and worked nights, which Apple did not agree to.

After discovering inaccuracies, Apple placed Pegatron under probation. In the past, Pegatron was the second largest supplier of iPhone parts.

It looks like Pegatron is once again adhering to Apple's Subcontractor Code of Conduct.

Taiwanese company to start production of iPhone 13 mini in fall/winter 2021.

iPhone 13 Pro Max - Case Shows Giant Lens Housing

A new photo has been found on Weibo that purports to show a case designed for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The current flagship - the iPhone 12 Pro Max model - was placed in it to show how large the camera island will be.

The photo shows a huge camera island that will be noticeably larger than that of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which itself is not the smallest.

The upcoming iPhone 13 Pro Max will offer a new ultra-wide-angle camera. Apple will also change the parameters of the main matrix. We will still have a wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and macro lens at our disposal. There will also be LIDAR.

More photos of accessories for the iPhone 13

Further photos of accessories for the iPhone 13 have been uploaded to the network via the Chinese social network Weibo. This time we are talking about thin covers made of plastic. They have been inserted into the currently sold models of the iPhone 12 family. This comparison shows that the camera islands will be in different (larger) sizes.

In addition, the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 will receive a modified lens system, which, like in Pixels, will be placed diagonally.

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be equipped with an even larger lens housing, which will reach almost half the width of the entire housing. The photos posted on the Weibo social network show that the cameras will protrude slightly more from the housing. In addition, Apple decided to move the ultra-wide-angle lens, telephoto lens and LiDAR slightly lower. The flash has been moved slightly to the center of the body.

Apple has also modified the position of the microphone - it will also be lower.

Only the main camera located at the left edge of the housing will remain in its place.

LiDAR reserved for iPhone 13 Pro/iPhone 13 Pro Max

DylanDKT tweeted about the iPhone 13. According to him, the LiDAR scanner will remain an exclusive accessory for iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models .

A sensor that allows you to scan space in 3D in real time will still be reserved only for the most expensive Apple devices. A similar solution can also be found in iPad Pro tablets.

Earlier rumors that appeared on the web suggested that the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 may receive LiDAR. More recent reports contradict these reports. Now DylanDKT has also announced that LiDAR will remain exclusive to the more expensive iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models.

It is worth noting that DylanDKT previously informed us about upcoming Apple devices via Twitter. So far his rumors had been credible.

iPhone 13 smartphones in the next video

The MacRumors portal has published a new video on YouTube that presents models from the upcoming iPhone 13 family. In addition, the recording will show a comparison to the currently sold models from last year.

The film was made using dummies built thanks to CAD renderings that hit the web some time ago. The photos show that the mock-ups were made with due attention to quality. They look like real smartphones with their screens off.

Dummies usually accurately reflect the appearance of upcoming devices. Models are created for accessories manufacturers so that they have time to create their own covers and glasses for new devices.

The video shows that we shouldn't expect major visual changes this year. It is for this reason that we find reports on the web called iPhone 12s. The main visual changes are a smaller notch (screen cutout) and a diagonal arrangement of the cameras on the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 models.

The more expensive models with the note Pro and Pro Max have a similar camera housing, but it will be noticeably larger than the island with the iPhone 12 Pro / iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The cheaper iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 smartphones will receive a housing made of glass and aluminum. The back will be shiny. Top smartphones iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be equipped with matte backs and a frame made of stainless steel.

Unfortunately, due to the change in the size of the camera housing, covers dedicated to devices from the iPhone 12 family will not be compatible with this year's smartphones.

The upcoming models will have the SIM card tray located in a slightly different place. Apple has also moved the volume control buttons.

Apple increases production of the iPhone 13

The Cupertino giant intends to increase the production of smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. Apple plans to produce 90 million units by the end of 2021. This means an increase of up to 20% compared to last year's iPhone 12 models.

The information provided by Dobby Wu and Mark Gurman from Bloomberg indicates that Apple is counting on sensational sales of upcoming devices.

The company plans to increase production to avoid the slip-up known from last year's models. Suffice it to recall that the premiere of the iPhone 12 was postponed by a month, selected models went on sale only in November, and until the first quarter of 2021 there were considerable problems with the purchase of selected configurations.

In addition, the latest report confirms the information we already know about upcoming devices:

The report also suggested that Apple is aiming to completely remove the screen cutout.

iPhone with dual-prism persiscope?

Apple hasn't yet unveiled any device with a built-in periscope camera. Meanwhile, a patent has hit the web, which suggests the possibility of using a double-prism periscope camera for high approximations.

We know for a long time that the upcoming models from the iPhone 13 family will receive a new zoom lens, but it will probably not be a solution whose patent has just leaked to the network.

It turns out that Apple was exploring the possibility of using a periscope in a smartphone at the beginning of 2018 - a year before the premiere of the Huaweia P30 with this technology.

The periscope camera from Apple is to have two prisms, an infrared filter and four to five elements. The idea of two prisms is the ability to place the sensor parallel to the back of the smartphone, which will reduce the thickness of the construction of future iPhone models.

Periscope will probably go to the iPhone in 2022 or later.

In the latest publication of his weekly Power On newsletter, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman outlines what customers can expect from this year's iPhone. According to Gurman, in line with previous information about battery capacity, the new iPhone 13s will feature larger batteries that can be used to power displays with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a possible Always-On Display feature.

On recent Apple Watch models, the display may stay on at lower brightness and variable refresh rates. This allows users to see their watch face at all times. Gurman says Apple could introduce similar functionality to the iPhone 13, allowing customers to see information such as the time, date and their notifications on the display at all times.

This would be possible with LTPO displays that can effectively keep the display at a lower brightness all the time without significantly impacting battery life. The OLED LTPO displays to be included in the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models would also enable a refresh rate of 120Hz.

iPhone 13 with LiDAR, Pro and Pro Max models will get 1TB of storage

In June, analysts at Wedbush claimed that all iPhone 13 models will have LiDAR, and Pro models will be available with up to 1TB of storage. Later, analysts at TrendForce reported that in reality it would be different, limiting LiDAR to two Pro models and their storage to 512 GB.

Wedbush, however, has its eye on the supply chain in Asia, and now they are repeating their earlier announcement - LiDAR will be available on all models of the iPhone 13, while the Pro and Pro Max versions will have 1TB of storage. This could mean that the lower storage options (128GB and 256GB) will also be doubled.

iPhone 13 will get 25W fast charging

Apple wasn't the first company to introduce fast charging. Current iPhone manufacturer chargers offer 20W power. According to the MyDrivers report, however, the company intends to increase this power to 25W.

Currently available iPhone models - Xr, SE, 11, 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max - only come with a dedicated USB cable. The manufacturer no longer attaches a charging cube to the phone. This will not change in the case of the iPhone 13, because the fast charger will have to be purchased separately.

The Cupertino giant is set to unveil the iPhone 13 at a special press conference on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Pre-sale of the device will start a little later - on Friday, September 17, 2021.

UPDATE 07/30/2021

Apple Warns Against iPhone 13 Covers

Apple has addressed iPhone 13 rumors over the past few weeks. The company has sent warning letters to some people posting information about yet to be unveiled products. In addition, Apple took care of the prototypes that went online. These devices should never see the light of day and were probably taken from factories producing equipment with the logo of a bitten apple.

Recently, a lot of photos have been posted online showing accessories for the iPhone 13 and a comparison of the covers with the currently sold models from the iPhone 12 family. We learned from leaks that the upcoming models will receive an even larger lens housing.

Apple also referred to these reports. According to the company, publishing unconfirmed information about upcoming products hurts consumers. Additionally, Apple will not be able to surprise the public, which goes against its DNA. This information somehow confirms that the rumors about the iPhone 13 that have appeared on the web in recent months are authentic.

The company sent a special letter to people informing about the iPhone 13. The whole thing was transferred to the Vice portal.

The Cupertino giant is trying to deny selected reports about the iPhone 13. The company claims that mock-up covers that are created before the premiere of the devices may not be compatible with the final product. However, we know from earlier years that this is not true. The covers that hit the network before the debut of the next generations of iPhone had the perfect size and maintained full compatibility. Apple itself starts the production of dedicated accessories a few months before the debut of the devices.

iPhone 13 - Apple anticipates problems with pre-sales!

At Apple's recent quarterly earnings conference, CFO Luca Maestri warned that hardware shipments will be more severe in September than in previous months. In addition, he added that the restrictions will mainly apply to iPhone smartphones. This means that the premiere of upcoming models may take place at a critical moment, which will translate into problems with launching pre-sales.

Official information provided by the Cupertino giant suggests that initially the iPhone 13 will be difficult to access, which will translate into delays in sales.

Everything indicates that Apple will not be able to avoid last year's scenario. Suffice it to recall that some configurations were difficult to access even a few months after they were launched.

iPhone 13 with Always-on-Display - new function confirmed again

More information has been released to the network that confirms the implementation of the Always-on-Display function known from Apple Watch watches Series 5 and Apple Watch Series 6 on upcoming iPhone models.

Mark Gurman in the latest issue of the Power One proprietary newsletter said that the iPhone 13 may include a non-fading Retina display, which we have known from Apple Watch since 2019. This is another reliable source that confirms that the upcoming iPhone models will receive a feature known from Android smartphones.

The iPhone 13's Always-on-Display mode will be implemented thanks to a display with VRR - variable content refresh rate. In combination with the enlarged batteries, this solution should not cause a deterioration in battery life.

We still do not know what the Always-on-Display interface will look like in smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. We will probably find out only during the official premiere of the devices.

UPDATE 08/04/2021

Smaller components allow for larger battery cells

The upcoming models of iPhone 13 smartphones are to offer larger batteries and faster wired charging. After four years of using the 18 W wired charging system, Apple should provide users with the possibility of charging with a power of 25 W. In addition, the iPhone 13 will receive slightly more capacious batteries to maintain the current working times after activating the Always-on-Display mode.

The latest information provided by Digitimes indicates that the key to success is minimizing the components inside the iPhone. Reducing the components in the smartphone housing will allow you to create additional space for more capacious batteries.

Apple is to use more integrated elements. Combining several modules into one will reduce the size of the motherboard. TSMC, which manufactures processors for Apple smartphones and tablets, will deal with the production of such components.

iPhone 13, despite the use of a more capacious battery, is to be slightly thinner than the current models of the iPhone 12 family.

The Digitimes report also states that the above-mentioned information has not been confirmed, and the integrated components may only go to the iPhone 14 (premiere in the second half of 2022).

Luxshare Precision to assist in iPhone 13 production

Apple adds new partners to iPhone 13 production chain to meet planned demand. A Chinese company has just been added to the list of entities that produce components for the new iPhone model.

Information provided by Nikkei Asia reports that Apple intends to produce between 90 and 95 million units of the iPhone 13 family by January 2022. New company - Luxshare Precision won 3% of orders. The rest will go to much bigger rivals - Foxconn and Pegatron.

Interestingly, Luxshare will produce the more expensive iPhone 13 Pro model. Reportedly, despite a small share in production, Foxconn and Pegatron are concerned about the competitiveness and possibilities of the new subcontractor, which in the future may increase its share in the production of the next generations of the iPhone.

Despite trade restrictions imposed by the United States on China, Apple is gradually increasing the share of Chinese subcontractors in the production of its devices.

The latest Nikkei Asia report confirms our assumptions. Apple is constantly striving to diversify its supply chain to minimize the risk of production delays and improve its position in negotiations with the largest sub-suppliers that dominate iPhone production. We are talking mainly about Samsung (displays) and Foxconn (assembling ready-made devices).

A larger battery may improve runtimes a bit

We have learned from several sources that smartphones from the iPhone 13 family will receive larger batteries. Initially, we thought that more capacious cells would ensure the same working time, because the iPhone 13 will receive the Always-on-Display mode.

According to the ZDNet report, the iPhone 13 Pro Max will receive a 4352 mAh battery, which will be 18% more than the one used in the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Smaller models will also receive batteries with 8-10% more capacity.

Combined with the more energy-efficient Apple A15 Bionic processor, we can expect slightly better battery life. The system is to be 15-20% less power-hungry than the Apple A14 Bionic processor from the iPhone 12.

iPhone 13 Pro - Portrait mode video, ProRes recording and additional camera improvements

A month before the launch of the new iPhone 13 smartphones, we learn more interesting things about the camera. It turns out that the more expensive models with the note Pro in the name will receive a lot of improvements over the base iPhone 13 and previous models from the iPhone 12 family.

We already know from previous leaks that the iPhone 13 will not receive a revolutionary design. The smartphone will be very similar to its older brothers. On the other hand, Apple decided to make major changes in the interior. Bloomberg reports that the more expensive iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models put a lot of emphasis on the quality of photos.

The latest data shows that the iPhone 13 will allow you to use portrait mode when shooting video. This is the first major change to how Portrait Mode works since its introduction in 2016 (iPhone 7 Plus).

Portrait mode in video recordings will work in cooperation with LiDAR and a new algorithm.

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max smartphones will be able to record videos in the ProRes format. This solution will allow for faster and more effective processing of materials in Final Cut Pro. Apple ProRes has been the standard used by professionals for over a decade. It is nice that the giant from Cupertino will finally offer it in its smartphones.

Apple is also to use a new filter system that will improve color reproduction. The whole will use a neural processor and the possibilities of artificial intelligence.

Bloomberg did not directly confirm the information about the ProMotion screen, but from the report we can learn about a new type of screen that will allow faster refreshing, which will positively affect the smoothness of scrolling.

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg also confirmed the presence of the Apple A15 processor, which is no surprise. He also added that smartphones will offer a reduced notch in the screen.

UPDATE 08/12/2021

Apple has developed a new method of mounting cameras

From recent leaks from trusted sources, we learned that the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will receive a significantly improved camera. Now information has hit the network that Apple is using a new process to assemble cameras in the upcoming smartphones from the iPhone 13 family.

According to The Elec, Apple decided to produce each lens separately. So far, the company ordered ready-made modules, which were placed in the housing of smartphones as one element.

Apple purchased iPhone cameras from several suppliers: LG InnoTek, O'Film and Sharpa.

In order to reduce production costs, the company decided to consolidate the production of cameras for the upcoming iPhone models. Foxconn, which manufactures the iPhone, will be responsible for their production.

Foxconn after the changes will be responsible for the construction of ready-made iPhone camera modules from the received elements produced by sub-suppliers. The factory has already been equipped with special equipment from Hyvision System, which will verify the quality of wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses before merging them into one module.

The introduced changes are to result in a noticeable reduction in production costs. We hope that the savings are not reflected in the quality of the photos. The new production methodology is likely to be applied to later production batches of the iPhone 13 or as late as the production of the iPhone 14.

iPhone 13 - more sources confirm the release date, mmWave 5G modem in more countries

More information about the upcoming smartphones from the iPhone 13 family has been released to the network. This time the source of information is TrendForce. The latest research conducted by the company concerns the iPhone 13. From the report, we learn that the iPhone 13 will receive the Apple A15 chip made in the 5 nm + technological process.

According to TrendForce, upcoming models will offer mmWave compatible 5G modem in more countries. Currently, only the iPhone 12 models from American distribution have support for the mmWave 5G network.

Rumors have also been confirmed about optimizing the use of space, which will allow the use of larger batteries without increasing the external dimensions of the devices.

TrendForce analysts say the iPhone 13 will be priced similarly to the iPhone 12. On the other hand, Apple should earn slightly more from it due to the effective control of production costs and no significant design changes that would require a new manufacturing process .

TrendForce confirms that Apple will return to the standard release cycle and present smartphones from the iPhone 13 family in September. iPhone sales in the third quarter of 2021 are expected to grow by 30% year-on-year. We will owe a large increase to problems with the availability of the iPhone 12 shortly after the premiere (in the fall of 2020).

UPDATED August 16, 2021

End of doubt - iPhone 13 will be a small update of the previous model

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman shared with us the latest insights into the upcoming Apple devices, which are planned to be released in the second half of 2021.

According to Guman, the upcoming Apple smartphones will be classic models with the letter S at the end. This means that we cannot count on innovation. Apple will improve the well-known iPhone 12 models from 2020. On board will be a faster processor, 120 Hz screen on Pro models and an improved camera. A characteristic feature of the debuting models will be a smaller cutout in the screen.

iPhone 13 the last model with a Lightning connector?

The latest actions of the European Union may accelerate Apple's decision to abandon the use of ports in the next generations of iPhone. It is possible that the smartphones from the iPhone 13 family, debuting in September 2021, will be the last models in the series equipped with a physical port for charging and communication with other devices.

The countries of the old continent are again considering the issue of a universal standard for charging mobile devices and electronic accessories. You don't have to wonder to guess that the USB Type-C connector will be adopted as standard. For most manufacturers, this is not a problem, but Apple will be inconsolable. The Cupertino giant introduces USB Type-C to more and more devices, but not to its smartphones.

If in September this year the European Parliament passes a law on a single charging standard, Apple will have to use it in the next generation of iPhone. Unfortunately, it's not that obvious. Apple is known for its individual approach and has already prepared a script. If USB Type-C can be established as the universal charging standard in the European Union, Apple is likely to offer a portless iPhone 14. Charging will take place using the universal Qi wireless charging standard, which has been available on Apple smartphones since 2017. In addition, the giant from Cupertino will continue to use the MagSafe solution. This scenario is very likely, because Lightning still does not support data transfer using USB 3, let alone USB 4.

Not sure about wireless charging? Either you'll have to change your mind or go for the iPhone 13.

Manufacturers ready for the premiere of iPhone 13. There should be no shortage of smartphones in September

The latest reports from mid-August indicate that Apple is fully ready for the premiere of the iPhone 13 and took care of securing the supply chain. Subcontractors have already produced a large number of units, which will be available for pre-sale in September 2021.

In addition, we learned that configurations offering 1 TB of built-in storage will appear on the market. The iPhone will receive such a capacious version for the first time in history. So far, the maximum equipped configurations offered 512 GB of storage space.

Further sources report that the iPhone 13 will actually be the iPhone 12S. This means no evolutionary changes.

A well-known analytical company reveals the release date of the iPhone 13!

The Wedbush company in the latest analysis gave the approximate release date of the iPhone 13. We should see new smartphones from Apple in the third week of September. We know that Apple has been presenting new iPhone models on Tuesday for years, which means that the iPhone 13 will be presented on September 14, 2021 and will go on sale on September 24 of the same year.

Apple is testing Touch ID in the screen - unfortunately it will not go to the iPhone 13

The fingerprint reader in the screen used in Apple smartphones has been talked about for years. The technology that allows the sensor to be mounted in OLED displays has been available for over two years. Despite the passage of time, Apple has not decided to use it in any of its devices.

Of course, Apple is not ignoring the presence of this technology in the market. The giant from Cupertino is constantly testing the possibility of using the Touch ID fingerprint reader on the screen.

From the latest report, we learn that the solution will not go to smartphones from the iPhone 13 family.

According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple in 2021 will not present the Touch ID reader placed on the screen. Gurman believes the technology will eventually make its way to the iPhone, but that will only happen in the long term.

Apple tested in-screen Touch ID earlier this year. Back in March, Ming Chi-Kuo reported that the Touch ID fingerprint sensor would not be returning to iPhone 13 models.

We currently have two Touch ID scenarios. It can go to cheaper iPhone models. Alternatively, Touch ID will be integrated with Face ID on more expensive models.

IPhone 13 Pro in new Rose Gold color hits the web

Everything indicates that Apple may launch a "new" Rose Gold color for iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Photos posted on Twitter by Majin Bu on Thursday last week show the iPhone 13 Pro in an unusual color version.

The smartphone may debut in Rose Gold. However, it will not be a shade known from the iPhone 6s, iPhone SE and iPhone 7 models.

The iPhone 13 Pro in Rose Gold will be much darker than its older brothers.

The device falls into a graphite shade. Unfortunately, we must take into account that the leak may be fake. The photos are of low quality and taken in unfavorable lighting conditions. In fact, they may depict the iPhone 13 Pro in graphite.

iPhone 13 on conceptual videos

A new video has been released on the web, which shows what smartphones from the iPhone 13 family will look like. The whole thing is based on recent leaks and allows you to get acquainted with the appearance of smartphones that will debut on market in less than a month.

The material prepared by ConceptsiPhone shows what smartphones will look like. The author emphasizes the key features - a smaller cutout in the screen and a larger lens housing on the back. These news have been confirmed in many recent reports.

The video also shows the new color Sunset Gold. It is possible that this will be a new color version that the Pro and Pro Max models will receive.

iPhone 13 - exact dimensions of the cutout in the screen and the camera module

On the Internet you can also find photos presenting the exact dimensions of the smaller cutout in the screen and the enlarged camera housing.

iPhone 12 Pro Max has a 3.45 cm wide cutout. In smartphones from the iPhone 13 family, the maximum width of the cutout in the screen will be 2.57 cm. This will be especially important for the smallest iPhone 13 mini model. A smaller notch will translate into a larger working surface of the display.

In exchange for a smaller cutout in the screen, we have to accept increased camera housings. For the smallest iPhone 13 mini model, the surface area will increase by 8.1%.

Recent information suggests that the offset sensor will go to every model.

The casing of the iPhone 13 is to be 0.2 mm thicker than the currently sold models of the iPhone 12 series. Fortunately, the increase in external dimensions will positively affect the battery capacity.

iPhone 13 - we got to know the release date and the start of sales!

The IT Home portal provided reliable information about the release date and start of the sale of new smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. We also learned a bit about their availability in first weeks after market launch.

This year's flagship iPhone models will be unveiled on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. This date is consistent with previous leaks. Apple will introduce the devices for pre-order on Friday, September 17, 2021, and the first copies will go to recipients a week later - September 24, 2021.

It is worth emphasizing that this year all models will appear on store shelves on the same day.

Together with the new mobile phones, Apple should present the third generation AirPods headphones. Of course, traditionally, we should not count on getting them for free to the phone during the pre-sale.

This year, the availability of individual models is to be noticeably better than during the premiere of the iPhone 12. There may be temporary problems with the availability of selected color / memory configurations.

Apple should confirm the above-mentioned dates on September 7, 2021. Then we should receive official invitations to the event.

iPhone 13 with new Face ID - will work with a mask and fogged glasses!

Four years after the launch of Face ID, Apple will improve its 3D face scanning tool. According to the latest leaks, Apple will not offer a Touch ID fingerprint reader in upcoming smartphones, but we should not feel its absence. All because of the new Face ID capabilities.

It seems that Apple has developed Face ID adapted to the current times subordinated to the coronavirus pandemic.

Apple has developed a prototype overlay for smartphones from the iPhone 12 family, which allows you to test a modified Face ID. The solution has additional sensors that extend the functionality of the system.

The dimensions of the prototype Face ID tested as an external device are consistent with the dimensions of the system that will go to smartphones from the iPhone 13 family.

The FrontPageTech portal, which published the information in the protection of its sources, did not provide the network with real photos of the prototype. Instead, renders have been prepared that show the appearance of the additional case.

The accessory is tested by Apple employees who wear masks or fogged glasses for performance testing. The next-generation Face ID system will allow you to unlock the device when you wear a mask or have fogged up glasses that prevent you from scanning your irises.

According to sources, Apple has recently been intensively testing Face ID, which is supposed to work in the current epidemiological situation.

UPDATE 08/30/2021

iPhone 13 can offer satellite connectivity!

There's nothing worse than having no coverage at the most inopportune moment. According to the latest leaks, owners of the latest Apple smartphones from the iPhone 13 family will not have this problem.

According to a well-known analyst - Ming Chi-Kuo, the iPhone 13 will receive a hardware solution that allows you to make calls and send messages in areas that are not covered by the mobile network. How is this possible?

According to Kuo, Apple smartphones will receive additional components that will allow them to receive signals from earth orbit satellites. Thanks to this technology, it will be possible to make calls and send messages in places where there is no access to the coverage of the classic mobile network. We are talking here mainly about mountains and sea areas.

Thanks to the new function, the iPhone 13 is to be an attractive choice for people living in hard-to-reach areas and fans of mountain trips.

According to the analyst, Apple will not reach for the most famous technology - Starlink from Elon Musk. According to Ming Chi-Kuo, Globalstar will be the strategic partner that will allow the use of earth satellites.

iPhone 13 - new color versions

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max may debut in two new color versions. We are talking about shades of Matte Black and Bronze.

Black finish may replace the graphite color known from the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max models. The brown color version should replace the gold iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

In recent years, Apple has been showing new color versions of its top models all the time. In 2019, we received the green color, and in 2020, the graphite color. This time the "new" will be matte black. In the past, the iPhone was sold in this color version. Consumers choosing the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus could reach for the Matte Black variant.

iPhone 13 Pro finally with a fingerprint-free bezel

Apple has been using stainless steel bezels on its flagship models since 2017. Unfortunately, the giant from Cupertino liked the shiny finish, which quickly collects all kinds of dirt.

After four years, a manufacturer can get rid of an annoying problem. It is said on the network that smartphones from the iPhone 13 Pro family will receive a stainless steel frame, which will be covered with a special anti-static coating.

Built-in beamforming microphones

Apple may use its beamforming microphone technology in upcoming Apple smartphones. So far, this solution has been used in Apple AirPods headphones.

Thanks to beamforming microphones, smartphones will be able to improve the quality of calls and videos. iPhone 13 will be able to automatically detect where the sound is coming from and apply its amplification. This solution will allow you to record more sounds at the same time while distinguishing between the conversation and the background.

Stronger MagSafe Charger Magnets

Last year, Apple introduced the MagSafe Magnetic Charging System. After a few months, Apple realized that it was worth putting slightly stronger magnets in the next generation of iPhone, which would be better at holding additional accessories with a greater weight. We are talking mainly about powebanks, which have recently appeared in the offer of Apple and renowned accessories manufacturers.

The Cupertino giant is working on improving MagSafe. This connector will in the future replace the classic Lightning port, which may disappear from the iPhone 14 next year.

iPhone 13 without a notch in the series Ted Lasso on Apple TV+

In one of the episodes of the flagship series of the Apple TV+ streaming platform, you can see the iPhone 13 completely without a notch in the screen.

Is it possible that Apple sent one of the prototypes of an iPhone that does not have a notch to the production of the series? Unfortunately, that's unlikely. Probably the cutout in the screen was removed during post-production.

An unusual iPhone with a full-screen design can be found in the sixth episode of the second season called "The Signal".

An iPhone with the classic interface of the iOS operating system can be seen twice in the frame, but the device does not have a characteristic cutout in the screen.

We can't count on the iPhone 13 without a cutout in the screen, but the upcoming models will receive a slightly smaller notch.

UPDATED August 31, 2021

iPhone 13 finally probably without satellite connectivity

At the end of August 2021, quite surprising information about smartphones from the iPhone 13 family hit the network. Rumor had it that Apple's next-generation smartphones would offer the possibility of communication with earth satellites. This would mean the ability to make calls and send SMS messages when the mobile network and Wi-Fi access are unavailable. It was even said that the well-known company Globestar would be responsible for servicing the entire system.

Satellite connectivity information looks genuine. They were also confirmed by the well-known analyst Ming Chi-Kuo. He reported that the iPhone 13 will receive a Qualcomm modem developed in cooperation with Globestar.

However, there are more and more voices in the network that are very skeptical about satellite communication in Apple iPhone 13 smartphones. Sascha Segan from PCMag rightly emphasizes that the fact that Qualcomm cooperates with Globestar does not automatically mean that the iPhone 13 will receive satellite communication.

It is possible that the new modem implemented in the iPhone 13 will use the satellite bands previously assigned to satellite services to get a stronger connection to 5G base stations.

Cybersecurity expert - Robert Graham - indicates that the iPhone 13 can use the Wi-Fi bands in the frequency range from 2.4835 GHz to 2.4950 GHz. This is the upper part of the Wi-Fi band on channel 14, which is mostly unused. Globalstar uses it for satellite communications. In addition, we are talking about a downlink channel that does not support smartphone-satellite communication. The whole is licensed for terrestrial use only. This information makes the use of satellite communication in iPhone 13 smartphones more and more distant.

Matters are also not easy for mobile network operators, who certainly keep their finger on the pulse. These companies will certainly not allow you to easily bypass them thanks to the presence of satellite communications.

Finally, we come to the last theory. It assumes that satellite communication will be used only in emergency situations to communicate with emergency services.

All rumors will be dispelled exactly in two weeks - September 14, 2021.

iPhone 13 - official price list from China leaked! How much will we pay?

Wondering whether earlier rumors about raising the price of the iPhone 13 will turn out to be true. The latest information from China answers this question. A complete price list of individual models and memory configurations of the iPhone 13 has been added to the network. There were no surprises in it.

The report published by the MyDrivers portal shows that there will be 12 configurations of the iPhone 13 on the market, which will be sold in different colors.

The iPhone 13 mini will open the price list. Unfortunately, the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 models will still offer only 64 GB of built-in storage in the base.

We should pay PLN 3,599 for the cheapest iPhone 13 mini. The iPhone 12 mini now costs the same.

The price list of the iPhone 13 should start from PLN 4,199. Also, the iPhone 12 currently costs the same.

Models with Pro and Pro Max in the name already offer 128 GB of RAM in the basic configuration. Prices will start from PLN 5199/5599. This means that they are identical to the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max models. What's new is the fact that 256 GB of configuration is missing. Instead, a 512 GB and 1 TB version appeared.

Here is a detailed price list based on the latest leak from China:

More iPhone 13 accessories go online!

There are two weeks left until the launch of the iPhone 13. During this period of time, more information about smartphones will be added to the network. New photos of accessories for the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13/13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have just surfaced online. This time we are talking about transparent covers. The leak confirms that the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro will receive a housing with identical external dimensions, which will allow the case to be used interchangeably.

The photo published by SlashLeaks shows that the iPhone 13 will receive a larger lens housing.

UPDATE 07/09/2021

iPhone 13 should be presented exactly in a week. This does not change the fact that there is still a lot of information on the network. Some of them can be treated almost as "certainties", but there are several contradictory rumors. We will learn about their authenticity only during the official presentation of new smartphones.

iPhone 13 completely without satellite connectivity?

Satellite connectivity has been a bone of contention for several weeks. In the network we find a large amount of conflicting information regarding the alleged support for satellite communication by smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. Last week, the well-known analyst Ming Chi-Kuo announced that the iPhone 13 will receive support for LEO connectivity. Later, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg published his predictions on this subject.

After the initial delight, it turned out that satellite connectivity can only appear in selected copies of the iPhone 13. In addition, the whole thing is to be used only for emergency calls.

Users will not be able to make calls or send SMS using satellite connectivity when mobile network coverage is unavailable.

According to Guman, the iPhone 13 can send short emergency messages using satellite communication.

iPhone 13 - video with original covers confirms the naming!

Twitter user @PinkDon has published a new video. It shows the original Apple Silicone Case for iPhone 13 Pro Max smartphones.

The short video has already been removed from the platform, but screenshots have survived online. This may mean that the leak was genuine and that Apple itself requested its removal.

The video shows a large number of black silicone cases designed specifically for the largest smartphone in this year's series.

The packaging of iPhone accessories once again confirms the new nomenclature.

Apple certifies MagSafe faster charger!

After four years, Apple is finally going to modify its fast charging system, which is significantly different from the competition. Apple iPhone smartphones from the iPhone 8 model support fast, 18 W wired charging, which allows you to charge the battery from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes.

According to the latest leaks from the US Federal Communications Commission, upcoming Apple smartphones may receive a faster charging system.

In addition, a certificate for the new model of the MagSafe charger has just been released online. It will offer 15W charging for smartphones and 1W charging for AirPods with a wireless charging case.

Leaks about the second-generation MagSafe charger have already leaked into the network. Apple is to use stronger magnets that are better able to keep the structure in place.

Apple A15 Bionic faster than Exynos 2200 even after overheating

Samsung has been trying to catch up with Apple in terms of the performance of built processors for mobile devices for many years. Next year's Samsung Galaxy S22 is to receive the proprietary Exynos 2200 system with a graphics system designed by AMD. The latest synthetic tests show that even a graphics processor made in mRDNA technology will not allow the Koreans to overtake the giant from Cupertino.

According to tests shared on a Korean forum and spotted by @FrontTron, Apple's new processor received much faster graphics.

In the Manhattan 3.1 test, the engineering sample of the Apple A15 Bionic processor scored 198 fps. On the second attempt there was a performance limitation and the result dropped to 140-150 fps. In identical tests, the Exynos 2200 chip achieved 127.5 fps.

Even after the big drop, this is way exceeding the A14 peak performance, so it won't be a big deal for Apple.(2/2)To see the comparison of Exynos 2200 peak performance and A14, refer herehttps: //t.co/WURgUNIVWp

The numbers look promising and mean that Apple need not be afraid of losing its leading position in building the most efficient processors for mobile devices.

Apple A15 synthetic tests leaked online - the latest sample is incredibly efficient

Apple A15 Bionic, Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 and Samusng Exynos 2200 are the most efficient processors that will go to flagship models from the turn of 2021 and 2022.

Samsung is preparing a real revolution for us, because Exynos 2200 will receive an AMD mRDNA graphics chip. Apple traditionally goes its way, and the latest information suggests that the Apple A15 Bionic processor will easily cope with the competing Samsung chip.

Further synthetic tests that have hit the web confirm that the iPhone 13 will offer more efficient graphics than the Radeon used in the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones. The same is true for computing power. Again, hardware from Apple with a closed operating system will offer higher performance.

UPDATE 09/09/2021

Less than a week before the premiere, new information about the iPhone 13 hits the network. They raise the issue of memory configurations and color versions.

iPhone 13 in new color versions

Ukrainian e-commerce site contained previously unknown information about smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. It turns out that the phones will receive new color versions that we have not heard of before.

The lower-priced iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini models will come with a pink finish. The new variant will replace the green edition available in the iPhone 12 series.

The more expensive iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models will be sold in brown. It will replace the blue version known from the iPhone 12 Pro / Pro Max models.

iPhone 13 without the version with 256 GB of built-in storage

Some time ago, information about the memory configurations of individual iPhone 13 models was published on the network. It showed that the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will not be available with 256 GB of built-in storage. The base model will offer 128 GB, and the intermediate configuration as much as 512 GB.

Now we find out that 256 GB will appear in the iPhone 12 Pro / Pro Max, but will disappear from the base models of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini.

The following is a list of iPhone 13 memory configurations revealed from a Ukrainian source:

The latest leak does not confirm previous rumors about the presence of the iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max with 1TB of built-in storage.

Mockup shows the final design of the iPhone 13 Pro

Another information leak once again reveals the appearance of the iPhone 13 Pro. A mock-up for accessories manufacturers has been added to the network. It shows the final design of the upcoming device. The iPhone 13 Pro will receive a housing similar to the one known from the iPhone 12 models, but there will be a few differences.

On the back we find a square lens housing, which once again increased its dimensions. The front is almost entirely occupied by an OLED screen. However, there was also a cutout, which in this year's models will be smaller.

There is a little over a day left until the official presentation of the iPhone, and more information is coming online. This time we are talking about optimistic news. What is it actually about?

iPhone 13 in base with 128GB of built-in storage

Min Chi-Kuo - well-known Apple analyst denies that this year's models are sold in versions with 64GB of built-in storage storage. It is worth recalling that Apple has been offering 64 GB of built-in memory in basic configurations since 2017. Only last year, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max received 128 GB of storage space in the base.

According to an analyst working for TF international Securities, a similar update will also be coming to the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini this year. This means that each model will offer at least 128 GB of built-in storage.

In addition, Ming Chi-Kuo adds that the iPhone 13 Pro / Pro Max will debut in the top version with 1 TB of built-in storage.

Below is the configuration list of the iPhone 13/13 mini:

and iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max:

For comparison, the iPhone 12/12 mini is sold in versions with:

and iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max models:

It is worth noting that just four days ago, screenshots of the Ukrainian store were posted online, which suggested that the iPhone 13 would debut in a version with 64 GB of built-in storage. Ultimately, we will learn about the exact configurations during the premiere.

The first unboxings go online

The official sale of smartphones from the iPhone 13 family will start on Friday - September 24, 2021. Pre-sales are still ongoing. We already know that the iPhone 13 sells very well, and some configurations have to wait until mid-November.

The first unboxings of upcoming smartphones have just hit the web. YouTube user SalimBabaTechnical shared the first unboxing footage of the gold iPhone 13 Pro Max.

The video shows what the iPhone 13 box looks like and the not very rich sales set.

The smartphone comes in a small package. At the top there is a likeness of the device, and the rest of the surface is kept in black.

Apple has given up wrapping boxes. Instead, a new way of opening appeared - a tear strip placed on one of the edges.

After removing the upper part of the packaging, we will notice a smartphone placed with the display towards the center of the cardboard.

Inside you will also find a Lightning to USB Type-C cable, a needle to remove the SIM card tray and several information leaflets with an Apple sticker.

Apple denies - any application can benefit from ProMotion

The key novelty of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max is the screen with ProMotion. This means that flagship smartphones are able to refresh the image at a frequency of 120 Hz.

After the release of the new models, information appeared on the web suggesting that not all applications are able to take advantage of the increased refresh rate. In addition, selected reviewers report that the use of a 120 Hz screen is not noticeable.

Apple referred to speculations that have been appearing on the web for several days.

A technical document posted on Apple's website states that all apps can use the 120Hz screen frequency. It is enough for the application developer to implement this function in the source code of his program.

The documentation also explains how to use VRR - variable screen refresh rate.

Apple has also confirmed that there is currently an issue with some animations being displayed. The company will solve it with a software update.

UPDATE 09/30/2021

iPhone 13 Pro Max with the best screen on the market!

iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max received a 120 Hz Super Retina XDR display. Now it turns out that the iPhone 13 Pro Max has the best screen ever used in a smartphone. The DisplayMate organization tested the panel used in the top representative of the iPhone 13 family. Experts were positively surprised by its quality. The display received the DisplayMater Best Smartphone Display Award and an A+ rating. By the way, the iPhone 13 Pro Max set 12 records in terms of display quality.

Every iPhone 13 Pro Max comes with a factory-calibrated screen. The phone supports DCI-P3 and full coverage of the sRGB color palette.

Tests show that the iPhone 13 Pro Max lives up to the promises made by Apple at the presentation. In addition, DisplayMate and the newly acquired certification confirm that this is a great smartphone for movie buffs.

iPhone 13 Pro Max - how durable is the housing?

Apple boasts that the housings of the new iPhone models are resistant to accidental scratches and falls. JerryRigEverything decided to check whether the manufacturer's promises are true.

The smartphone did as expected. The screen scratched only on the sixth attempt, which is currently standard in flagship models. The frame is much easier to draw. All because of the shiny surface.

The lens housing did average, but the iPhone 13 Pro Max did very well in the bending test. Can't complain about the screen either. The 60-second arson attempt did not damage the OLED panel.

UPDATE 10/04/2021

iPhone 13 Pro and ProMotion that follows your finger movements

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are the first Apple smartphones to feature a ProMotion screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. We have known this technology for over three years from the iPad Pro tablets. However, it turns out that in the latest smartphones from Apple, the whole thing has received a significant update.

With the 120 Hz panel, there have already been some controversies. iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max owners will not currently benefit from the increased refresh rate in third-party apps. All because of the need to update the source code of the programs by developers.

Now we've learned that the variable refresh rate on the latest smartphones works differently than the competition. iPhone scans not only the dynamics of the content that is currently playing on the display. The phone also takes into account the speed with which we move our finger across the screen.

For example, a static Twitter post is displayed at 10 Hz. When we start scrolling, the frequency will increase to the classic 60 Hz. When we do it at high speed, the smartphone will switch to 90 Hz or 120 Hz mode. After the action ends, the frequency will drop to 60 Hz or lower. This action makes Apple smartphones have very good battery life.

UPDATE 10/5/2021

Apple A15 Bionic faster than Apple's declaration!

The latest tests confirm that Apple was not lying about the performance of the latest Apple A15 Bionic processor, which went to smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. The Cupertino giant declared an increase efficiency by as much as 50%. It turns out that in some tests the new system is faster than the competition by 62%.

The AnandTech portal is responsible for a thorough examination of the Apple A15 processor. Initially, it was claimed that the new layout is an update to last year's model. In real use, we can count on 23-28% higher efficiency. This means that the Apple A15 Bionic chip leaves its predecessor and Android competition far behind.

AnandTech also confirmed Apple's dominance in the construction of mobile graphics systems. The unit with Apple A15 Bionic goes beyond the scale. The competition currently does not have a comparable graphic layout to offer. All hope in the Samsung Galaxy S22, which will receive AMD RDNA 2 graphics with ray tracing.

Reviewers are delighted with the performance of the new chip. Also, consumers do not complain about his work. In addition, everything indicates that if not for the problems with the availability of microprocessors, Apple would offer even higher performance.

UPDATE 10/13/2021

Apple has been forced to cut production of the iPhone 13!

Despite excellent sales figures and great reviews, Apple will cut production of the iPhone 13. Why? This is, of course, the problem with the production of semiconductors. The partners of the giant from Cupertino reported that they would not produce the assumed number of components necessary to build smartphones from the iPhone 13 family.

We are talking about two companies - Broadcom and Texas Instrument. Their components are an integral part of each iPhone 13. Unfortunately, due to production problems with the Broadcom AFEM-8215, BCM59365 chips and display drivers, Apple was forced to reduce the production of the iPhone 13.

Original plans were to produce 90 million units by the end of 2021. Now we know that this is an unrealistic scenario. Apple will limit production to just 10 million units per month. With the holiday season approaching, this heralds further problems with the availability of the latest smartphones.

Apple looks for ways to increase iPhone 13 availability

A month after the launch of the iPhone 13, Apple is still struggling to ensure adequate supply. Speaking about Apple's fiscal fourth quarter 2021 earnings, Tim Cook said the company was "feverishly working" to increase iPhone 13 shipments to meet market needs.

The Cupertino giant is pleased with the sales results of the latest smartphones. Phones sell better than the iPhone 12 series.

Currently, most models still have weeks to wait. Selected configurations appear on store shelves. You can find out about the current situation in our collective material.

Availability issues stem from a semiconductor shortage that has affected virtually every consumer electronics manufacturer. Apple expects to continue to struggle with a limited number of smartphones in the next quarter.

As a result of the aforementioned difficulties, Apple lost $6 billion in the last quarter.

UPDATED November 2, 2021

Apple has found a controversial way to increase production of the iPhone 13

Apple is in a panic looking for ways to increase the production of smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. Demand continues to exceed supply, and the Cupertino giant is running out of money .

According to the latest information, Apple has drastically reduced the production of the latest iPad tablets. All this in order to use tablet components to build iPhones 13. This situation may have a noticeable impact on consumers who plan to buy a new iPad mini. It was this tablet that served as the "organ donor" for new smartphones.

According to a Nikkei Asia report published on Tuesday, Apple will use iPad processors in smartphones from the iPhone 13 family.

Information from several sources suggests reducing production of iPads by 50% for two months. iPad and iPhone share many common components. Apple intends to use, among other things, processors originally intended for iPads to build smartphones.

The above situation perfectly illustrates what problems the largest manufacturers of electronic equipment are currently struggling with.

Apple has not officially commented on the matter. On the other hand, Tim Cook admitted that the company lost about $ 6 billion due to problems with the availability of the iPhone 13.

With the above move, Apple wants to hedge the holiday season when a lot of iPhones are sold.

UPDATED November 9, 2021

It's been less than two months since the release of the iPhone 13, and despite the passage of time, Apple still has a lot of problems with producing the right amount of copies. There are no selected configurations on the market, for which you have to wait even several weeks. The situation is not improved by the upcoming holiday season, which always means increased sales of smartphones from Apple.

According to the latest report provided by the DigiTimes portal, we should not hold off on buying the iPhone 13. If you are planning to buy a device for Christmas, you should order a copy as soon as possible and wait for delivery. DigiTimes reports that problems with the availability of individual configurations will be solved only in February 2022.

According to sources from the supply chain, only in February will Apple be able to fully restore production capacity at the iPhone 13 factories. The main problem is still the lack of the right amount of components necessary to build smartphones.

Currently, when buying an iPhone 13 or 13 mini, regardless of the configuration, you should wait 5-7 working days for the implementation.

For the more expensive Pro/Pro Max models, wait 3 to 4 weeks for most models.

UPDATED December 2, 2021

Demand for the iPhone 13 is falling

More than two months after the launch of the iPhone 13, Apple has informed sub-suppliers of the first drops in interest in new smartphones.

The giant from Cupertino has been fighting for the last two months to produce as many copies of the iPhone 13 as possible. The iPhone 13 Pro is particularly popular, which is still unavailable in most Polish stores.

Apple has reportedly limited production of iPhone 13 smartphones to 10 million units due to broken supply chains and excessive energy consumption in China.

The latest information provided by Bloomberg shows that Apple informs sub-suppliers about the decline in interest in new smartphones from the iPhone 13 family. The company warns that some of the expected orders will not be completed.

In October 2021, it was reported that the demand for iPhone 13 smartphones is high, and the company expected to see increases in sales of all its products throughout the first quarter of 2022.

Currently, when deciding to buy an iPhone 13 Pro from Apple, we will wait 1 to 3 weeks for it, which is a significant improvement over previous months.
