Xiaomi 11T Pro - the first smartphone with Xiaomi Hypercharge technology

Xiaomi 11T Pro is the first smartphone to be launched with Xiaomi HyperCharge technology - 120W charging. It allows you to charge the device to 100% in just 17 minutes. The manufacturer emphasizes that the safety of the battery is confirmed by the TÜV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System certificate, 34 battery charging and safety functions and real-time temperature monitoring.

Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 888 mobile chipset is expected to provide the power needed to drive a plethora of AI features. Xiaomi 11T Pro is not only high performance, but also a triple camera with a 108 MP wide-angle lens, 2x telemacro and 120 ° ultra-wide angle. The smartphone is also equipped with filming capabilities with AI Cinema modes, 8K recording and HDR10 +. We already know them from the flagship Xiaomi Mi 11. You should also remember about the screen - it received a 6.67-inch AMOLED DisplayMate A+ screen with FHD resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate and TrueColor, Dolby Vision and HDR10 +. Plus, specially designed dual speakers with Harman Kardo's SOUND BY system.

And how does the new model fare in everyday use? I invite you to read.

Technical specification:

Xiaomi 11T Pro differs slightly from the flagship model Mi 11 with its design, but it sticks to the look initiated by Xiaomi Mi 10T / 10T Pro. The island with cameras is closer to this series with a slight change in the arrangement of lenses or slightly less protrudes outside the housing. In the lower left corner we also find a vertical Xiaomi inscription, which reminds us that the MI series has adopted a new name. The whole is finished with glass that resembles brushed aluminum. Thanks to this, fingerprints are slightly less visible, and the backs themselves shimmer in the light very effectively. We have 3 colors to choose from: Meteorite Gray, white - Moonlight White, blue - Celestial Blue. Personally, I was captivated by the blue version, but also the gray one that fell into my hands looks very nice. Of course, it's a matter of taste whether we like it or not, but undeniably this model also has something in it. I did not find any silicone backs in the package. Will they be boxed for sale? I don't know that at the moment. Nevertheless, it is worth thinking about some protection, because after all, the cameras stick out a bit, and the housing is slightly slippery.

The tested smartphone received Corning® Gorilla® Victus glass on the front, which is to guarantee even greater durability, and metal frames. The smartphone itself is great in the hand (although without the case it is a bit slippery) and will certainly appeal to people who are looking for a flat-screen model. I will add that, unfortunately, the housing is not waterproof.

On the phone casing you will find:

Of course, all buttons are clear to the touch and respond very well and quickly to all clicks. As in Mi 11, we will not find a 3.5mm mini Jack output and a place for an additional memory card. It is practically no longer strange in this price range, which may worry some users.

And how are the speakers? This model received stereo speakers, which, like in Mi 11, are branded by Harmon Kardon. So we can expect that the sound coming from it will be as good as in Mi 11. And so it is in reality. The music flowing from the Xiaomi 11T pro is clean, nothing creaks and very pleasant to the ear. We can also easily distinguish the instruments (even on a noisy street). After all, what more could you want in a phone? Watching movies, listening to music or playing your favorite games is now pure pleasure.

Xiaomi 11T Pro - the first smartphone with Xiaomi HyperCharge

It is also worth mentioning that the software includes sound effects with the option of enabling sound enhancement for Dolby Atmos, Equalizer or sound optimization for connected headphones with Equalizer.

What, you can't have any objections to the quality of the conversations.

What about biometrics? Of course, this has not been forgotten either. In Xiaomi 11T Pro we find a physical fingerprint reader located in the On / Off button. It works as quickly and correctly as possible. In addition to the fingerprint reader, we also have unlocking by scanning the face. As a standard, I will repeat that this method is not safe and is less recommended. The operation of this function itself cannot be faulted too much. By default, it works fast enough, and the problems start only in lower light.

The dimensions of the Xiaomi 11T Pro are 164.10 x 76.90 x 8.80 mm, and weight: approx. 204 g (including battery). The smartphone received a flat 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz (FHD+ 2400 x 1080, 395 ppi, touch panel sampling up to 480 Hz, TrueColor display, Dolby Vision, HDR10 +) and a camera (16 Mpx) placed in a small round hole in the middle of the top bar of the screen. If the hole bothers us too much, we can hide it in the black bar, which is turned on in the options.

I remember at the premiere of Mi 10T Pro how many people complained that the screen is not AMOLED, but LCD. There is already AMOLED here, so you can see that the manufacturer has listened to its users. We also have AoD, but we will not find a notification diode in it. Nevertheless, the image itself is very readable and clear. Juicy colors with the possibility of configuration in the options. There is also of course the night mode, which still does not always work properly in some applications. There is also a reading mode. So everyone should find their favorite settings and adjust the screen to their needs. I will add that we can also use the phone on a sunny day without any problems: the maximum brightness reaches 1000 nits (standard 800 nits).

Of course, in Xiaomi 11t Pro we can also enable gesture support, which significantly improves the comfort of using the phone and increases its working area. In addition to gestures, we can also turn on the standard bottom bar with buttons.

The tested smartphone is equipped with the latest components, just like the flagship model Mi 11. We will find in it:

The mentioned processor probably needs no introduction. It is currently the flagship model on the market with 5G network support, which also translates into great performance during everyday use. Everything works smoothly in it and nothing jams in it. You can run many applications and more demanding games on it. This is also confirmed by the AnTuTu score of over 625,000. points.

However, when we give it a good hard time, it can also get hot. Anyway, it is similar in Mi 11. The high temperature is most noticeable in the upper part of the phone and the cameras.

The smartphone is, of course, managed by Android version 11 and the MIUI 12.5.2 overlay, which I also don't need to introduce anymore. What is important, however, is the manufacturer's declaration about the update. This model is to receive 4 years of patch updates and 3 major system updates. So we can expect even Android 14 on it. This is very good news for users.

Of course, the system runs smoothly and quickly enough. It's not pure android and I keep feeling it's too overloaded.

For the sake of order, I will add that the smartphone is of course equipped with such solutions as

In everyday use, both Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS work flawlessly. I used them quite often. Especially with BT when transferring files and with GPS while walking around the city or driving a car. The smartphone, of course, supports NFC payments

What arouses the most emotions in the latest Xiaomi model is the charging speed. From the manufacturer, we learn that "Xiaomi 11T Pro is the first smartphone to be launched with Xiaomi HyperCharge technology - 120W charging. This industry-leading technology allows you to charge the device to 100% in just 17 minutes*, giving creators more creativity and minimizing downtime by ensuring all-day use. This is possible thanks to innovative technologies, such as dual charging pumps (a type of DC-DC converters), two-chamber battery structure, MTW, the use of graphene in the Li-Ion battery and Mi-FC technology. Battery safety is confirmed by the TÜV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System certification, 34 charging and battery safety functions and real-time temperature monitoring.” Sounds nice, but how will it work in the long run? Here, the manufacturer declares that the battery should not go below 80% of its capacity up to 800 cycles. With standard use, it is approx. 2 years. Is it so? We'll probably find out in a year or two. With several days of testing, it is rather difficult to check this parameter and you can only take the manufacturer's word for it.

When it comes to working time on a single charge. Here we have a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which with standard use (a bit of web surfing, a few calls, texts, a few photos, etc.) will allow us to work quietly for 1-2 days. However, if we turn it on at full speed - an intense game, a 5G network running, 120 Hz refresh enabled or playing with cameras and creative functions, we can look for a charger in the middle of the day. Fortunately, after about 17 minutes, we can continue to play :). Unfortunately, we will not find inductive charging here.

And finally the camera. In Xiaomi 11T Pro we find the following set:

The software also includes all the creative functions known from the flagship Xiaomi Mi 11.

And how do the photos look in reality? And here I have a bit of mixed feelings. While the main and macro lenses are quite OK, the wide angle is only 8 Mpx and you can see it in the pictures. But from the beginning. When the weather is nice, we can usually count on frames with nice colors, clear and detailed. Sometimes they can be slightly burnt out - especially in bright light or when going from a dark place to a very bright one, but it's nothing you can't control. When gray comes, you can see a slight drop in quality, and HDR is a bit too aggressive at times. There is also an inequality in performance. The same shot taken one after the other is sometimes nice and detailed, and sometimes too bright or too dark. I hope future updates will fix this bug. What surprised me a bit were the photos taken against the sun. While the software tries to draw the foreground nicely - brighten the dark elements, sometimes something strange happens with people - it seems like a glow, a shift. More visible with more traffic. Something as if we started the PRO mode with a longer exposure time. Unfortunately, this is what an automatic does. This is also rectified programmatically. As standard, we also have creative modes - painting with light, etc. and night mode. The photos come out perfectly fine and very detailed. However, when painting with light, it is worth thinking about a tripod. Then the effect will be even more satisfactory. Sometimes I just have the impression that the white is a little warmed up, which makes the night photos a bit yellow.

Wide Angle? As I mentioned earlier, it is only 8Mpx and unfortunately you can see it in the picture. The frames are darker with changed colors and less detailed. But that doesn't mean there are any b's :). They are enough for everyday use. Mobile photographers may be a bit disappointed, however.

The macro delights once again. The 5 Mpx lens is great for close-ups.

So what? Please see sample photos:

Summary

Xiaomi 11T Pro is a smartphone that above all, it arouses emotions in terms of fast charging. 120W does a really great job. After about 17 minutes, we have a smartphone ready to work. These emotions also steer towards battery life with such a fast charge. But we'll find out in a year or two. This model is also equipped with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with Adreno 660 graphics processor and support for 5G and Wi-Fi6 networks, a great AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and Harman Kardon stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. You could complain a bit about the set of cameras, which included a rather weak wide angle of 8 Mpx or a 16 Mpx selfie camera (in the predecessor it was 20 Mpx) or no inductive charging, no water resistance and no memory card space. On the other hand, these are unacceptable deficiencies. In short, it is worth considering this model when shopping.

Let's recap the Xiaomi 11T Pro. The plus deserves above all:
