iOS 15 - how to move the address bar to the top of the screen [Tutorial]

iOS 15 made a rather controversial change to Safari, which moves the address bar to the bottom of the screen. We show you how this can be reversed.

During the iOS 15 beta phase, Apple added a new element to the Safari design that moves the URL and bookmarks interface to the bottom of the screen. This change finally took effect with the release of the new version of the system. As you can guess, this decision immediately became controversial among iPhone users.

After hearing negative feedback from users who don't like this change, Apple has finally added a toggle that reposition the address bar back to the top of the screen, allowing users to go back to the old Safari look we knew from iOS 14.

If you are also not satisfied with this change and would like to return the address bar to its previous position, follow these steps:

1. Launch Safari on your iPhone.
2. Tap the aA icon on the left side of the address bar.
3. Tap Show Top Address Bar in the pop-up menu.

You can also control this appearance change in the Settings app. There, go to Safari, and then in the Tabs section, select the Single tab option. Selecting it will also change the location of the address bar to the top of the screen.
