Samsung has already started producing 120 Hz OLED screens for the 13 Pro iPhones. In cheaper OLED models from LG, but only with 60 Hz

At least that's what the Korean website The Elec claims, according to which this year's Apple smartphones will be available in four versions - with a 5.4-inch screen iPhone 13 Mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 13, 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and 6.7- inch iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I find it hard to believe that 120Hz won't appear on this year's models and I was disappointed that they didn't get twelve, but most likely 5G support and a screen with a higher refresh rate was a problem for the iPhone battery that the company could not cope with.

Samsung screens are to offer dynamic refresh adjustment depending on what will be displayed on it. Of course, it is about the best energy optimization, and smartphones are to be 20% more energy-efficient than previous models. There are many indications that the always-on display will also appear in the iPhone 13 Pro. Samsung would provide Apple with 80 million OLED screens with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Samsung rozpoczął już produkcję ekranów OLED 120 Hz do iPhonów 13 Pro. W tańszych modelach OLED od LG, ale tylko z 60 Hz

OLED screens for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini are to be created by LG. And here, unfortunately, bad news, because it is said that the refresh rate is only 60 Hz. If this turns out to be true, it will undoubtedly affect my purchasing decision. I am focused on replacing the iPhone 11 with the iPhone 13, but only if the screen of the new base model offers something more than 60 Hz. At the same time, the release of a smartphone for about PLN 4,000 with a 60 Hz screen will be weak, because Android manufacturers offer at least 90 Hz for much lower money. Even Samsung can do it, which offers such a screen in the Galaxy A52 costing PLN 1599, so nothing is unrealistic, especially if we are talking about the base iPhone 13, which will cost at least PLN 4199 (because that's how much Apple wanted for the iPhone 12 for the premiere).

LG plans to create 30 million OLED screens for 13 iPhones and 13 Mini iPhones.

Apart from the screens, the 13 iPhones themselves do not promise to be a revolution from any angle. We will probably get a new A15 Bionic chip, slightly better cameras and a new stabilization system. In addition, a slightly smaller notch, FaceID, new colors and internal memory with a maximum capacity of 1TB.
