The Google Photos service, known in Poland as "Google Photos", will soon cease to offer unlimited photo space.

The unlimited photo space will end on June 1, 2021. The exceptions are owners of Google Pixel smartphones (models 1 to 5). Other owners of Android smartphones will now have to settle for 15 GB of storage space for photos and videos recorded on their phones. If you've been wondering if your photos will be lost - nothing like this will happen.

The change will apply to photos and videos taken from June 1, 2021. This means that photos and videos previously uploaded to Google Photos will not take up this space.

Blurry photos? It's not a problem anymore. Google photos can handle them

15 GB of space is shared on services such as Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.

If we want more space for photos, you will have to pay for the Google One service, which will extend the space by 100 GB (PLN 8.99 / month), 200 GB (PLN 13.99 / month) or 2 TB (PLN 46.99) /month).

In another case, we can also think about a different service for storing our photos. It can be, for example, Dropbox, OneDrive, Flickr or Amazon Photos. Some of them, including OneDrive, can integrate with selected smartphones (e.g. Samsung) at the system level.
