I use the HUAWEI smartphone from HMS and I have everything at hand

Huawei's ecosystem with Huawei Mobile Services is now more complete than ever. I use a Huawei phone with HMS and I have banking applications at hand, an extensive AppGallery store, Petal Search and many more.I use a Huawei smartphone with HMS and have everything at hand

Applications are the basis of any mobile system, so I am very much looking forward to seeing new programs and changes in the Huawei Mobile Services package. The resources of the Chinese manufacturer's ecosystem are growing every month and are also designed based on the Polish user.

This is evidenced by perfect translations, promotions for Polish ManiaKs and applications created by Vistula programmers. The Huawei Mobile Services package combines all this and adds programs created by Huawei and its partners.

I follow the development of HMS on an ongoing basis, and I have been using a new Huawei phone for some time, so I had the opportunity to see for myself how quickly the company's ecosystem is developing.

AppGallery is a store that I like more and more

After taking a new phone out of the box, the first thing every self-respecting ManiaK does is install their favorite applications. In a Huawei smartphone with HMS, we can do it in two ways - transfer programs from an older phone using the Phone Clone service (it can work wonders!) or find them manually.

The AppGallery store, which is easy to befriend, will be extremely helpful in this - its interface is more modern than competing platforms thanks to well-designed plants and categories. Apk resources are also getting more and more powerful.

Polish programs are clearly visible, divided into clear sections and often come with attractive promotions. Examples? Here you go - in the gifts section I found a code for TOK FM Premium for a month for free and 14 days in the Starter PLUS (WP Pilot) package for a round 0 zlotys. And I'm not talking about discounts in mobile games.

The games section seems to be the largest of all the categories in the AppGallery, but it is not the most important. Polish banking applications published by official institutions are higher in the hierarchy - mBank, iPKO Biznes, Bank Millennium, IKO are just a few examples.

Some of them, such as the Bank Millennium application, already support contactless payments via NFC (the P40 Pro I tested has an NFC module), and others are to introduce it in the near future. Development is also waiting for BLIK payments in HMS.

What will surely interest the Polish ManiaK is the availability of apps useful in everyday life. I use and found in the AppGallery such programs as JakDojade, Vinted, Żappka, Allegro, Rossmann and KFC Polska. There was also a full set of Microsoft Office.

The application is not in the AppGallery? The Huawei phone will find it on its own

Above, I have listed only a few sample applications in the AppGallery - in fact, there are a whole lot of them and anyone who returns to Huawei's services after a long break will find out. Nevertheless, it may happen that a specific program cannot be found in the store's resources.

What then? Then it's best to trust the Petal Search search engine, which scours the web for proven and safe apk files - the desired application can often be installed manually within several dozen seconds.

This is a significant advantage of Huawei over the competition, because the user only enters the name of the program he is looking for - the smartphone will search for the app and install it itself. I tested it on the example of Slack, which I did not find in the AppGallery, and which I installed in the blink of an eye.

As I found out, Petal Search is not only an efficient search tool, but a real combine of functionality - it has a built-in simple web browser, suggests movies worth watching, gives access to a calculator and searches for interesting places nearby.

Petal Maps get you there

While talking about different apps, I didn't mention dark mode, which Petal Maps works best with. The program that helps you get to places efficiently is the result of Huawei's cooperation with partners.

The cooperation turned out great, because with Huawei maps you can get to virtually any place in Poland. I traveled several hundred kilometers with them by car and reached the place safely - all based on current road information (with alerts about road repairs).

Maps offered me several routes to choose from, the option of voice guidance as if on a string and allowed me to customize the appearance of the navigation to my liking. Along the way, I could also jump into restaurants, the list of which is updated on a regular basis.

Huawei Browser puts the whole web at your fingertips

What would a phone be without a convenient web browser? You guessed right - a useless piece of plastic. Focusing on proprietary solutions, Huawei has designed its own browser where you will find everything.

The program looks completely standard and that's enough, because it is supposed to provide simple functionality - quick access to tabs, private mode and saving pages "for later". I use all these options every day and I don't complain about the Chinese browser.

I also have to praise the tab with instant access to podcasts - you will find them right on the home page in your browser. Searching for new news from specific fields is also not a difficult task, because all categories are next to each other. That's why the term "at hand" fits like a glove.

HMS add-ons are tailored for users

After reading this article, you will come to the conclusion that I am quite impressed with the Huawei ecosystem. No wonder - I watched HMS services start from scratch in the form of a handful of Polish applications in the AppGallery. Now the resources of this platform and partner applications are much better.

Huawei, however, does not rest on its laurels and provides a lot of amenities on phones with HMS: the Celia voice assistant, themes that allow you to change the design of the system, a Huawei ID account as a mobile key to services and a cloud with free five gigabytes. All this with constant security and privacy controls.

I am extremely curious to see what else Huawei Mobile Services will offer us in the coming years. Looking from the perspective of the Polish ManiaK, everything is on the right track - keep it up.
